Haslemere Surrey family photographer
I was really thrilled to do this Haslemere Surrey family photographer session in the summer. The session was bought as a Christmas voucher. So after contacting the family in January, they chose July for their family photography shoot. The obvious choice for location was their beautiful home and garden in Haslemere. You are welcome to choose where the shoot will take place. Your garden, or somewhere special you like to go together. Otherwise I can make suggestions.
We had a great morning hanging out in the garden. There were some lovely spots for sitting, chatting and hanging out. We took lots of different combinations. These included all the family together, single portraits of the children and of the siblings together. We also focused on each of the children with each parent and one of the parents together. These are the usual combinations for a family photoshoot but you’re welcome to tweak them as each session is bespoke so very much meets your particular needs.

What a lovely time I had for this family photo shoot in Godalming Surrey. The Mummy had purchased the session as a voucher for Christmas for her husband. So I was so happy to hear that it had been well received and that they were looking to put a date in my diary. We waited until the summer months because we thought hopefully it would be nice and warm and also their little chap would be walking and indeed he was!
Exploring
We had a fun time exploring the gardens. They had also brought along their son’s favourite toy car and his book. It’s always nice to bring along some personal things to record what they are into at this stage of their lives. I loved that the book was one of my children’s favourites ‘Postman Bear’! As they were reading it, memories flooded back of me reading the same book to them. It must have been at least five years since I read that book. So I was impressed I could remember what was behind most of the lift up flaps!

Family Photographer Surrey // Family photo shoot Godalming
Are you looking for a Woking family photographer Surrey?
I cover all areas of Surrey and surrounds, including Woking. This is where this gorgeous family photography session took place. The family hired me to capture them celebrating the most wonderful occasion of a golden wedding anniversary! Love was certainly in the air as the happy couple were surrounded by their five children. We also had their partners and a lots of delightful grandchildren! Some of the family had travelled as far as Australia to be there. So it truly was a wonderful celebration being together.
I took some pictures of the family all together, then other combinations as requested. Each session is tailored to your needs so I can do as many or as few composed shots as you wish. You may also like to include some reportage style pictures of a party or gathering too.

I had such a lovely email from the family after: “Virginia has passed us the framed and mounted montage of our celebratory photo session. I write to say how delighted we are with it. Thank you for the time you took at our meeting to recommend. Also to suggest what would best suit the layout of the montage. Family photoshoot Farnham
What a gorgeous time I had on this family photoshoot near Farnham Surrey. I first met the family when they bought a voucher from me at Christmas time last year. So I was delighted to hear from them when they wanted to book in their session.
The family chose the month of May as we hoped the weather would be nice. We also hoped the colours in the woods would be spectacular, which they were! It was lovely to be joined by a grandparent too. It was clear to see just how well the son and grandfather got on. I really wanted to capture their special relationship so I was very pleased in particular with the shots of those two together. It was great to include their much loved dog as well. I love including our furry friends as they too are very important members of the family.
We really enjoyed our time on the family photoshoot. Over the course of about two hours we enjoyed a lovely walk, stopping at various points along the way. With so much colour, interesting viewpoints, and exciting things to jump off, it was easy to have a great time.

Family Photographer Surrey // Family Photoshoot Farnham
I really enjoyed this family photo shoot Guildford. It recorded the very special addition to the family of a gorgeous bouncing baby boy!
The family photo shoot took place in Clandon, close to Guildford. The family gave me a very warm welcome. It was so lovely to not only meet one set but two sets of grandparents! I always enjoy bringing together the different generations. It’s so special to record those early few months when the whole family is embracing the gorgeous new addition.
The little baby boy was so good, lots of lovely cuddles and smiles. We were lucky to get some sleepy shots too towards the end when he fancied a nap.
At your viewing session I am on hand to guide you through ideas on what to do with your portrait afterwards. Popular choices are single and multi image frames. I also love creating my special memory boxes which are perfect for baby sessions. You can have a baby picture on the top. In addition special wording around the outside of the lid such as baby’s weight, height, date of birth and perhaps a special message from you.
I had a lovely email from the family following the viewing session:
‘Thank you for spending so much time with us to make sure our pictures are exactly as we’d like them we cannot wait to see the final results!’

Family Photographer Surrey // Family Photo Shoot Guildford
What a delightful time I had photographing these gorgeous siblings last month at Wisley Gardens. I first met their parents a few years ago when they were looking for a children’s portrait photographer Guildford to capture them in a natural and relaxed way, enjoying time together. So I was delighted to be asked to capture them again this time focusing on the children.
It’s always a treat to be asked to photograph a family again. I love seeing how much children have grown up. It still surprises me every time I see the difference just a few years can make. When you see your own children and their friends every day you don’t really notice it, but they’re changing all the time.
I had such a delightful time with the family on the day, the children were such good fun. We really enjoyed admiring the gardens in full bloom. We enjoyed piggyback races, running races, some tree climbing and lots of other fun things. It was a very smiley session and very easy for me! As you can see the children were beautifully dressed, so well coordinated. I assumed this would be the case as the Mummy has a great eye for fashion and colour and is a personal stylist and make-up artist, so she didn’t really need any top tips from my ‘What to wear guide‘!

Children’s Portrait Photographer Guildford // Family Photographer Surrey
What a fantastic time I had on a beautiful Saturday morning on this gorgeous family photoshoot Haslemere for this lovely family of six. The family were great fun and with children ranging from 16 down to 4 we were all kept very busy. We moved through lots of different combinations of each parent with each child, lots of lovely siblings shots and of course big group family shots. It was a very fun session and the children did a brilliant job. I was so pleased that the family were delighted with their final portraits. They have chosen some gorgeous frames and I can’t wait to get them delivered. I had a lovely 5 star review from the family after their viewing.

Family Photographer Surrey // Family Photoshoot Haslemere
Are you looking for a Cranleigh Surrey family photographer? I hope this blog post might give you a better insight into the style of my photograph. It’s what I offer to happy families all over Surrey.
Last week I undertook this very special family photography session which celebrated 50 years of marriage between John and Liz! What an amazing achievement. They were joined for the weekend by their son and family. The garden of their home near Cranleigh in Surrey, was an obvious choice for their special celebration shoot.
The bluebells were still blooming. So we took advantage of taking some of the pictures in the carpet of blue that surrounded us on our walk. The boys were great fun and did a good job in leading us around the woods showing me some of their favourite spots as we walked. As you may have spotted it was very special to have along their much loved dog. She was very excited about her morning walk! I love including pets, so don’t be shy about including them! I’ve had so many different animals included in shoots…dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, tortoises, chickens, pigs, deer and cows to name but a few!

Family Photography Cobham
Are you looking for family photography Cobham or perhaps Guildford, Woking or other surrounding towns? I cover all areas in Surrey and surrounding counties and would love to hear from you.
I had such fun in the woods amongst the glorious bluebells for this Cobham family photography session last month. The family are currently living in the UK but are originally from South Africa. For their shoot they wanted to find a location that had a quintessential English setting. I suggested Cucknell’s Wood because what personifies springtime in England more than a carpet of bluebells!
The children were fantastic right from the start. They had bucket loads of smiles, fun and their own ideas. We enjoyed a circular walk that took us past some interesting spots that we chose to play about on. Having got to know the family throughout the morning, I think that the set of pictures really represents the family dynamic and encapsulates their personalities. It was joy to hear the parents’ thoughts during their viewing session. I am looking forward to hearing what they think of their frame and canvas in a few weeks time!

I was very excited when Margaret hired me to be the family Surrey photographer for her last month! The family live in my village of Cranleigh, near Guildford in Surrey. So I popped over a few days before to look at the garden and advise on wardrobe. What to wear is a key element of any photoshoot! It’s the one I get asked about most! In addition we talked about what combinations of people she would like me to capture. It was a big group, but with our plan to hand we easily got all the pictures we wanted…and more! I can’t quite believe I captured so much in just two hours. It’s a credit to the children for being so amazing! I loved the setting too, which was the local Fisheries (conveniently located at the end of Margaret’s garden!). It’s a hidden haven unless you are in the know!
Margaret emailed to say after. “We were all delighted with the quality and the way you have captured the character of the families with your artistic flair.”
