Are you looking for a family photoshoot Cobham? I travel all over Surrey and beyond capturing happy families relaxing and enjoying time together. Each session is bespoke so we can chat about what combinations are important to you. The venue can be your garden or somewhere that you like to go as a family. Or I can make some suggestions if there is nowhere in particular. Before your session I will send you a guide to preparing for it. So that you’ll be ready to go on the day.
I adored this session that I took last autumn at a really stunning arboretum that comes alive in the middle of October. The colours are magnificent, an array of orange, yellow, red and gold. It really feels rather magical for a family photoshoot.
The family are fantastic fun. I think this is either my fourth or fifth photo shoot for them! The first one was when the little girl was just two and the brother was in mummy’s tummy! So it’s been such a pleasure documenting the family along their journey.
As you will see from the pictures below we had a really fun time.

Here is such a lovely example of one of my family photography Guildford shoots. People have been asking what does a socially distanced shoot look like? Well not much different really! Just a few changes to keep us as safe as possible while still retaining ALL the fun!
Much like when you greet new people nowadays I won’t shake your hand. However there is lots of waving and smiling and still getting to know each other! I’ll keep at least 2 m from you. This is easy as I tend to shoot with a long lens. I always have done because it means I can be a bit further from you. Allowing you space to play, relax and feel natural rather than being in your face!
If either of us feel any sign of illness, we let each other know of course. But there won’t be any temperature taking on arrival!
I am still offering in person viewings at the studio in Cranleigh. I feel this is still really important because I can guide you through what to do with your portraits. I have moved the furniture around so that you are at least 2 m from me. Naturally I have plenty of hand sanitiser too!
This family photography session taken near Guildford in Surrey was such a delight. The family have the most beautiful garden so it was easy to find great spots to take the pictures. I loved the swing too! The children were such fun and I didn’t want to leave at the end! They have now been in to see their pictures and I am delighted they not only had such a great morning but they adore their pictures too.

I really enjoy being a Guildford family portrait photographer. I travel all over Surrey and beyond capturing families enjoying time together outside.
A great example of a family photo shoot is these gorgeous children with their lovely parents. They enjoyed time together on a walk up Chinthurst Hill near Guildford in Surrey. As you can see it was a beautiful sunny day. We were spoilt for choice on locations. But the family enjoy walking the dog on Chinthurst Hill so that was the perfect spot.
It was great to stretch our legs, run up the hill, climb trees and do some jumping. The children were great fun, their parents should be very proud of them. Their gorgeous dog, George, was so good too. We made sure to get him in lots of the pictures. Dogs really are like another child. Of course we have to capture them as they are an important part of the family.
You’ll see at the bottom of the pictures some examples of frames. These are made using some clever software which give you ideas on what you could do with your portraits. I think it can be quite overwhelming when you initially see all your pictures. So I like to give you a head start with some ideas. This helps you think about what suits your personality and home. There are lots of examples of frames around the studio walls which also help to make sure you pick the perfect frame for your home.

I’m really enjoying using this time to catch up on sharing some of my favourite sessions from last year. This was a lovely Guildford photography mini photoshoot that took place in Winterfold woods near the studio. The session was a gift for the grandparents.
Originally the plan was just to have the grandchildren in the pictures. But as the grandparents were there on the day we included them in a few of the pictures. It’s so lovely to bring together the different generations. I think we’re all feeling that, particularly at this time when we are forced to be apart.
The mini photoshoots are done in the Cranleigh area. There are many beautiful places to capture your family. The proximity to the viewing studio allows us to upload the pictures and see them straight away afterwards. You can view them on the big screen. This makes it far easier than on a gallery. We can narrow it down to your favourites which I will then edit. The session costs £395 and includes 10 digital files. More information on mini photoshoots can be found here.

Family Photography Surrey // Guildford photography mini photoshoot
I’ve had some really delightful enquiries recently from people looking for Guildford portrait photography photo shoots. There are so many options for lovely locations for portrait photography around the Guildford area. Surrey is a wonderful place to live providing woodlands, parks and open fields.
The choice of location for your portrait photography is your choice. You are welcome to make suggestions. Maybe there is somewhere special to you as a family? If there is nowhere in particular, I am happy to make some suggestions.
This gorgeous portrait photography session took place near Guildford in a beautiful RHS garden. It was extra special because I had photographed the family a few years ago. It’s always a treat to catch up with families and to see how much the children have grown. Their daughters are delightful. Such a credit to their parents. They are very smiley and fun so it was very easy catching them. We enjoyed walking around the gardens, having fun and capturing them enjoying family time together. The flowers were looking amazing as they always do. They have some fantastic gardeners there I think!
After the session I had a very kind email from them.
“We were delighted with the images and both though there were some really stunning shots of the children. I think the girls’ cheeky personalities really came through and they looked so happy and joyous – perhaps it was easier with them being slightly older this time round!”

Family Photographer Surrey // Guildford Portrait Photography
For those of you who are visiting my site for the first time, I am a Cranleigh portrait photographer based just south of Guildford. I cover much of Surrey with family, headshot and commercial photography.
When clients approach me, first we discuss what you are looking for. This might be a mini photography session for just 2 to 3 people or it might be a family session for a family unit or an extended family shoot where we bring in grandparents and other family members. Each session is bespoke so we design it around your needs. All my sessions are taken outdoors using natural light. It’s much more fun for children to be outdoors than in a studio!
I loved this Cranleigh portrait photography session. I had photographed other members of their family a couple of years ago. So it was lovely that their recommendation lead to the session. It’s always fun to bring in pets, as in this case with their much loved dog. We took some pictures in the garden, followed by a short walk to a nearby woods where we caught the end of the autumn colours.

Cranleigh Portrait Photographer
Hi there! Are you looking for a mini family shoot surrey? Sometimes my clients would rather choose to have a short mini shoot rather than an extended family session. They operate differently to my family sessions as they take around 30 minutes to shoot in all. In addition they take place in the woods near the studio, which is in Cranleigh near Guildford. After the mini shoot session we can go back directly to see the pictures in the studio.
They ideally suit smaller family groups due to the length of the mini shoot. So it would be too challenging to photograph large groups and multi generations families.
I had such a lovely time with this gorgeous family in Winterfold Woods. We had some beautiful soft sunshine and the woods were looking stunning in the dappled sunlight. We took time to take some single portraits. Subsequently we enjoyed taking some groups shots too.

Family Photography Guildford // Mini Family Shoot Surrey
Are you looking for some family photography Haslemere?
I really enjoyed heading over to Haslemere for this family photography session to capture an old friend of mine with her gorgeous family. We took all the pictures in their beautiful garden. As a result, there was plenty of room to run around and play with their friendly dog and cat.

Photography sessions can take place at a location of your choice. However, if there is nowhere in particular that is special to you, I am happy to make recommendations. Gardens, parks, and local beauty spots are all popular.
The session takes around 1 1/2 to 2 hours. We can take a combination of pictures that are important to you. As well as your immediate family you’re welcome to bring in grandparents or older adult siblings.
I cover lots of milestone birthdays and wedding anniversaries which are all the more special when you bring a group of people together at a happy time.

Family Photography Surrey // Family Photography Haslemere
Are you looking for a Godalming portrait photographer? Perhaps this blog post might help give you a little bit more information about my photography sessions. After all, it’s so important to get a flavour of the photographer that you want to choose to capture your wonderful family.
As you will see I love to shoot outdoors. It’s far more natural for children than being in a studio. Being outdoors they can move, run, jump, and reveal their personalities.
Mostly my clients choose the location. This could be your garden or somewhere local to you that you enjoy spending time. Or it might be a National Trust gardens or other Public gardens.
This beautiful session late last summer started at about 4 pm so we had that beautiful soft end of day sunshine. We started taking a few pictures in the garden, and then had a wander down the lane with their friendly dog. The children led the way and we found some beautiful places to photograph them having fun.
Maybe you have a favourite view or a bench where you enjoy sitting together. Do your children love climbing a particular tree? Maybe there’s a walk that your dog loves. It’s good to chat through where is important to you.
After their viewing the family kindly sent me an email to say “We loved so many of them.”
My pleasure! It was great fun and I am so pleased you love them as much as I do.
