Family Photographer Guildford Surrey

It was so lovely to meet be chosen as the family photographer Guildford Surrey for this family photography shoot. They were such good fun and the children had a brilliant time. Early on, it was clear that the little boy had a great love of nature. So we were very excited to find so many bugs in the garden including a stunning green rose beetle! (We had to google it I admit!)

We really enjoyed playing around, running, joking and climbing trees!

The family were thrilled with their pictures when they saw them at their viewing. They have chosen some gorgeous frames. I will be very excited to hand them over next week! The viewing is a very relaxed and personal experience. You can sit comfortably and see your pictures on a large screen. In addition I have some clever software to allow your to narrow down your favourites and visualise these in a selection of frames. You can see some examples of that below.

The whole precess from enquiry, to preparation, shoot and viewing is a relaxed and fun tailored experience for each family.

Reigate Family Photographer

How cute is this little chap?! He really did so well for his Reigate family photographer shoot at his home in Surrey. His doting parents were so sweet with him and their sense of fun was clearly appreciated by him! At just under one his personality shines through in these precious portraits. I am sure that will bring so much pleasure to look back at these early days when he’s as tall as Daddy! We moved around their garden, including taking one in front of the house and by the front gate. It would be really fun to recreate these every year!

We take pictures on our front door step every September. We all hold hands and see how much the children have grown in twelve months. When we have about 20 I will make them into a big collage. I suspect I will be the shortest when we get to that stage! The children seem to grow too quickly. Blink and there are another few centimetres added to their heights! My son in particular seems to be eating a lot more. I don’t think it’ll be long before we are no longer getting the children’s meal at Pizza Express!

What to bring

It’s fun to bring along some favourite toys like books. Alternatively maybe some building blocks or teddy to your family photography shoot. It’s so special to remember what they liked to play with at that age as you forget so quickly! I still haven’t thrown away my children’s toys. Each time I look at the them, they bring back a memory. I will put them up in the loft for our grandchildren (hopefully!) one day.

Portrait Photographer Guildford

I enjoy working all over the South of England. But my easiest (well closest!) commute is when I am chosen as a portrait photographer Guildford! On a particularly hot Saturday in June I met this gorgeous family from Cranleigh in Surrey for their family photography photoshoot. Even though the temperatures were soaring we kept our cool and ambitiously climbed Chinthurst Hill near Guildford. We took some pictures as we climbed up and were all rather relieved to have got to the top for a rest. Additionally a chance to admire the stunning views over the Surrey Hills. We even managed a few running races. We all looked forward to cooling down and much deserved ice creams after!

There are so many beautiful locations for photoshoots in Surrey. You are welcome to choose somewhere that is special to you. Maybe a place your children love to go. Or a dog walk that is a favourite. If there is no where in particular, I am happy to make some suggestions. It will probably depend on you location and the time year. For example Winkworth Arboretum in the Autumn.

It’s not long until the children break up from school and we are all getting very excited! We are off on holiday as soon as they break up. Then are around for a few weeks whilst I work (so many summer shoots booked in!). We finish off with a week in Devon staying in a rather cool looking yurt! Bring it on, let’s just hope the sun shines on us all!

Surrey Professional Photographer

I adored this large family photography session. It took place in the gardens of St Augustine’s Abbey in Blackheath near Guildford in Surrey. It was a very special place for the couple as they got married here in the 90s! They had an idea to use a Surrey professional photographer to capture them all those years later. Of course this time it was with their three children and two of their fiances! Little would they have known how wondferul their marriage path would be. Or how blessed they’d be with three gorgeous children and their partners. It was fun recreating their pose from their wedding day in the Abbey arch.

Mum kindly said after. ” For my husband’s 60th birthday, we decided to organise a family photo shoot in the grounds of the church where we were married. Nicola was very creative in her ideas for both group and individual pictures. She was friendly, upbeat and patient throughout the session. She also put everyone at their ease. We will cherish the photos and memories. I would highly recommend her.”

Professional Surrey Photographer

Are you looking for a professional Surrey photographer? I’d love to help if you have a family that you would like to capture. Or perhaps you have a need for some professional headshots or commercial photography requirements?

I love taking on projects of all types, and I am delighted to share this professional Surrey photographer shoot. It took place from last month where we shot on St Martha’s Hill in Surrey. It’s a well loved local beauty spot where the family enjoy spending time. Popular for walking, running and cycling. The views from the top are very rewarding which is a relief as the walk up can be quite tiring. Although we cheated a bit by using the car park half way up! When I take my children up there, I usually have to incentivise them with a promise of an ice cream after! No bribery was required on this day though and we all had a great time!

With smaller children I sometimes offer little smarties if we need a little incentive. I also have an impressive bag full of stickers to tempt any little girl or boy. They always love choosing at the end.

Surrey Hills

I am a huge lover of the countryside and particular fan of the Surrey hills. You are never short of things to do from great walks to bike trails and orienteering. Although I have to admit the latter is not totally my bag! I seem to always be the one holding the map upside down, although since using apps on my phone we get less lost these days!

Surrey Family Photoshoot

I was so thrilled to meet up for this large Surrey family photoshoot near Guildford last month. Jaynn at the head of the family, clearly had such a special bond with her four gorgeous grandchildren. Tthe vibe of the afternoon was certainly one of fun and laughter, which is what it’s all about! Even when we had a light shower it didn’t matter, as we ducked under a beautiful old oak tree for more playful pictures.

I loved that they brought their dog too! It’s always fun to add a much loved family pet into the mix! It really doesn’t phase me, I have had horses, deer, pigs, chickens, guinea pigs, cats and dogs included! I might have to draw the line at a snake though. Sorry I would be too scared to focus!!!

Woking Family Photographer

I was bursting with excitement to be chosen as the Woking Family Photographer. This was so lovely to once again see this gorgeous family for their fourth photoshoot with me! I was first used as their Woking family photographer when Liezel was expecting her son in 2015 for a maternity photoshoot. Subsequently I captured them when he was a newborn baby. I continued to capture them during 2016. So was thrilled to be asked back to capture them for another family photoshoot whilst Liezel’s Mum was over from South Africa. The children had grown so much. It was so lovely to see them entering the new phase of childhood. We had a great time catching up and capturing them enjoying family time together.

Dorking Family Photographer

I am pretty sure you can hear the laughter from just looking at the pictures from this Dorking family photographer session. The children get on so well and clearly adore their parents, their close relationships were evident throughout the morning. The family love bluebells so we picked a really quiet woods. Luckily we didn’t see a single other person so we had the whole place to ourselves. The children loved to mess about, climb trees, check out a den and have a few running races!

I really adore all flowers, but in particular bluebells! I always get excited when I see them appearing in the woods next to our house. When you look out of the window it looks like an endless carpet of blue, it looks so magical! We always look for fairies when I take my children. Or make us stories as we tread careful through the paths. You don’t want to disturb the flowers too much otherwise they might not come up again. It’s important to teach the children to respect nature. Mine loving flowers and growing them. We are even trying a few vegetables this year. We will have to see how they go! Better remember to water them!

It was great that we had their Auntie along too as she was brilliant fun and had the best sense of humour. I wanted to borrow her for my afternoon shoot as she was great at making the children laugh with her funny jokes! She had us all in stitches! I can’t wait to deliver their frames, they will look stunning and I am sure they will enjoy them everyday.

Cranleigh Family Photographer

I was so pleased to be asked to be the Cranleigh family photographer for this gorgeous family from Cranleigh. The village is near Guildford in Surrey. This was their first family photography shoot with me. Last year, their Mum was given a voucher for the session from some of her friends for a special birthday.

We went to Winterfold Woods which they know well. It’s one of my favourites too! The view from the top is stunning. It never fails to take my breath away. You really can see for miles around, even as far as Gatwick airport! The children were amazing. During their session we had such fun and and it was clear to see how close they all are. My job was easy that afternoon! I loved that they brought their dog too, as pets are such an important part of the family. I was thrilled that they loved their portraits and am looking forward to delivery their frames soon!

Sessions can be held wherever is special to you. Maybe your garden, or local woods. Likewise if there is no where in particular, I can make some suggestions too.

Farnham Family Photographer

It was great to catch up with one of my favourite families. Furthermore to be asked to be their Farnham family photographer a few weeks ago. It was their second photoshoot with me. But their first as a family of four as they welcomed their second daughter in to the family last year! The garden was looking stunning so there were plenty of lovely spots to enjoy capturing some fun and games. They are obviously keen gardeners, something I am working on myself. Although I have to confess I am not sure how green my fingers are! I do try every year to make our garden look as beautiful as possible but my success rate is moderate! However this year we are going to try growing some different vegetables, perhaps some tomatoes and lettuces! Let’s hope I don’t get bored of watering them by July!! I might send my children out with the hose pipe!

Mum said after that she really enjoyed her ‘fun and relaxed morning’ with me. At the viewing she said the photos were ‘fabulous and had exceeded her expectations’ and made her very emotional (in a good way!). I always enjoy seeing peoples reactions to their portraits. Tissues are always close at hand.
