Headshot Photographer Surrey

Are you looking for a professional headshot photographer? Maybe you are in London, Surrey, Berkshire and other surrounding counties. Therefore I would love to help you. It’s always a treat to meet interesting men and women who are looking for some beautiful portraits. These are used in a variety of ways. I photograph a lot of actors and musicians for auditions. In addition professionals wanting a stand out picture for new job opportunities, and their websites. Increasing quite a few people are looking for a gorgeous picture for dating websites! I am pleased to say one couple got married after I took head shots for their profile!

I was recently approached by accomplished author Jeanette James. She wanted some portraits for her book jacket and publicity. We had such a lovely time and I am thrilled with the results and even more thrilled with exceeding her expectations. Sadly, it’s incredibly common for people to be critical of their own appearance. I can certainly put my hand up! So it’s so satisfy when I meet people who say that they never like pictures of themselves. However they then leave the session being so pleased with their portraits!

Headshot Photographer Woking Surrey

I really enjoy being a professional headshot photographer Woking Surrey, Berkshire and other surrounding counties. I was so pleased to be able to help Woking teenager Lydia with some headshots for her Spotlight portfolio. During an initial phone call on Tuesday night, Lydia explained she had a fast approaching deadline. Could I help with a last minute shoot on Wednesday! I quickly checked my diary and shuffled a fe things about! Forward planning is good, but last minute can sometimes be accommodated too.

On arriving at Lydia’s home, first of all we had a chat about what Lydia was looking for. Then I had a scout about for some interesting backgrounds in her garden. Thankfully we had some beautiful light too! We then looked through Lydia’s wardrobe and thought about hair styles. This thought process is important as we want to come up with a variety of different looks for the portraits. This can be from the serious, happy to thoughtful. It’s important to show how versatile you are and to allow your personality to shine through. We want to grab the attention of your viewer.

There are a selection of the portraits below, including the four final edited shots that were Lydia’s favourites!

2016 Review!

It always amazes me how quickly the year flies by, I know it’s a cliche but it really does! If anyone has the secret to slow down time, please do share it with me!

I have finished my outdoor shoots for the year which will thankfully allow me to catch up on some Christmas shopping and then all the wrapping! I do love Christmas and all it entails. We like to get our tree on the first weekend of December as we are too excited to wait any longer! I love all the rituals particularly those involving the children like watching their nativity plays, carol concerts and of course writing to Father Christmas and eating too many mince pies!

Christmas usually brings me time to reflect on the year gone by and to look forward to welcoming in a brand new year. 2016 has been a cracker on every level and I feel so grateful and proud to share with you my favourite highlights from sessions over the past 12 months. I really enjoyed collating these, it reminded me of so many happy times, special places and wonderful people who have come into my life. Thank you so much for being part of the journey and choosing me to capture your gorgeous families!

I really enjoy being a professional headshot photographer Guildford, Surrey and other surrounding counties. I was very pleased to be asked to take some headshots for local businessman Andy. He is based in Cranleigh in Surrey, which is very handy as that is where I am too. He was looking for some profile pictures for his website, LinkedIn etc. As you can see, it’s great to have a clothes change. Clients often bring several outfits. I am happy to do a video call with your prior to your shoot. We can look at what to bring. Alternatively bring quite a few clothes and we can go through them on the day. We also switch up the backgrounds so that we end up with a wide variety to different looks to suit different purposes. Perhaps a softer background for casual clothes.

I really enjoy being a professional headshot photographer in Surrey, Berkshire and other surrounding counties. I was very pleased to be asked to take a professional headshot for local business women Klara and Mel. They set up from Marketing Lab who are based in Cranleigh in Surrey. Marketing Lab offer Marketing Support services such as digital marketing, PR and advice on blogging! It was such fun meeting them. We really enjoyed our morning together and just look how professional and fabulous they look! Klara and Mel understand the importance of making a good first impression. Which all starts with having a stand out headshot picture on your website or Linked in.

The ladies blogged about the session after which included ‘Thankfully it didn’t take us long to find a photographer whose work and style appealed to us both. What we didn’t know before we embarked on this process was that a good photographer will help you so much. They advise and guide you through what to wear and how to stand. They should ask questions that let them understand the look and feel of what you are trying to achieve with the shots and your brand. All of which was invaluable advice for us. So despite our worst fears of how the morning would go! It was really fun and we felt very relaxed all of which made for some fantastic shots, which we felt were far better at reflecting us and what we do than anything we had before.”

I really enjoyed doing this headshot photography Guildford session last week. One of my specialities is actor’s headshot photography, particularly children. I love getting different expressions and working on capturing the real you. I often work through different emotions with the actors, thinking about different things to get a variety of expressions. For example I might ask someone to ‘think of a secret’ or imagine ‘eating their favourite food’! I had a lovely time meeting Tom last week for his headshot photography. This was for Guildford School of Acting (GSA) kids agency. We were so pleased with the final portraits and I am sure Tom will go far.

For Tom, and all my aspiring actors, my aim is to help you reach your highest casting potential.

What happens

I tend to do the headshot sessions in the garden of my home studio. Although I am happy to discuss a location of your choice. There are some interesting backgrounds and it enables us to be comfortable and relaxed. We get to know each other which helps me bring out your true personality. I like to work with you to produce a stand out portrait that will get any Director’s attention!

The session lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours, during which time you are welcome to have a clothes change if you like. When we feel like we have the shots we need, we go into the studio and then look through them together on a large screen. After you can decide which are your favourites and I then edit them in front of you so you have control over the level of editing/retouching you may wish to have. If on the day, you find it too tricky to decide on your favourites, (quite often!) I can do a gallery for your agent to help you choose. The session costs £150 (gallery is an additional £25), which includes 3 digital files ready for you to use for casting directors, agents, Spotlight, social media, websites or for printing etc.

I really enjoy being a professional children’s headshot photographer Surrey. One of my specialities is taking actor’s headshots, particularly children’s headshot photography. I love getting different expressions and working on capturing the real you. I had a lovely time meeting Mary last week for her headshots for Guildford School of Acting (GSA). A professional headshot photographer is often used by local business people, actors and authors to give them a professional edge. Headshot photography can also be used to give you a great looking profile for social media or even dating websites! I mostly undertake headshot photography in Surrey.
