Team Headshots Surrey

Professional team headshots in Surrey can make a huge difference to how your business is presented online. Whether you need individual headshots, photographs of a small team or images of your whole company, professional photography helps your clients put faces to the people behind your business.

Recently, I travelled to London to photograph individual headshots for Lime Syndicate, one of the Lloyd’s syndicates. The photographs were taken inside the iconic Lloyd’s underwriting building, creating a professional and distinctive setting for their team.

Team headshots to suit your business

Every company is different, so I don’t believe in taking exactly the same approach for every headshot session. You might simply need a consistent set of professional headshots for your website and LinkedIn profiles. Alternatively, you may want small team photographs or a larger company photograph.

Your session could take place at your own office, outdoors or at another location. If your office doesn’t have suitable space, I can suggest alternative locations or we can hire a space that fits the look you want to achieve.

More than just headshots

Your business photography can also tell your clients more about who you are and how you work.

Would a modern, relaxed look suit your business? Or perhaps something more traditional and corporate? Alongside your headshots, we could capture photographs of you working together, meeting clients or simply getting on with your day.

These behind-the-scenes images can be particularly useful for websites, social media, LinkedIn and marketing materials. They give potential clients a better feel for your business and the people behind it.

A photography session designed around you

I start every team headshots Surrey booking by taking a brief from you. We can discuss exactly what you need, where the photographs will be used and the style you want to create. I’ll help you work out the best approach for your business.

You can find more information about my headshot sessions, commercial photographyandpersonal branding sessions, including pricing, on my website.

If you’re looking for professional team headshots in Surrey or elsewhere in the South East, I’d love to hear what you have in mind. Please get in touch and we can chat about your requirements.

Surrey LinkedIn Headshots: A very special catch-up

Looking for Surrey LinkedIn headshots that feel natural, relaxed and genuinely like you? That’s exactly what Wendy was looking for when she got in touch to update her headshots for her website and LinkedIn. I was so excited because Wendy was my flatmate 25 years ago, so it was such a lovely surprise to reconnect and spend the morning together.

What a day we had! We literally didn’t stop laughing. We captured a really lovely selection of images for Wendy, playing around with different poses and looks. I’m absolutely thrilled with how her pictures turned out and she’ll be able to use them across her website, LinkedIn and other social media.

Surrey LinkedIn headshots that feel like you

One of my favourite things about photographing women for their headshots is seeing how quickly they relax in front of the camera.

Nearly everyone arrives feeling a little nervous. They worry they won’t like their pictures, that they’ll look awkward or that they won’t know what to do. I completely understand that. Most of us aren’t used to standing in front of a camera! But within about five minutes, the nerves disappear. We start chatting, laughing and trying different poses. Before long, the camera almost becomes irrelevant. We’re just having fun and capturing natural expressions and different sides of their personality.

I genuinely believe headshots can be so empowering, especially for women. There’s something really lovely about seeing yourself looking confident, relaxed and like the best version of yourself. Without fail, women leave their sessions really happy with their photographs and excited to show them off.

If you’re interested in finding out more about my headshot sessions, you can take a look at my other sessions on the WEBSITE PAGE.

You don’t need to know how to pose and you certainly don’t need to be comfortable in front of a camera. That’s what I’m there for.

Child actor headshots Surrey that capture natural talent

Child actor headshots Surrey sessions should feel relaxed, fun and be confidence building. Children perform best when they feel comfortable and understood. That is why my approach focuses on connection first, then great images. We keep the session light, positive and encouraging. Children respond naturally when they feel relaxed and valued. This leads to expressive and genuine headshots every time.

With years of experience, I know how to work with children of all ages. Every child is different and each session adapts to their personality.
This helps create natural expressions that casting teams want to see.

Rest assured they will be in very experienced hands as one of my specialties is taking acting headshots for children and adults.

Helping Your Child Feel Confident on Camera

I guide gently, without pressure or overwhelming direction. This keeps your child engaged and confident throughout the session.
Even shy children quickly relax and begin to enjoy themselves.

Parents often comment on how quickly their child feels at ease. That comfort shows clearly in the final images.

Just like this images from a recent session, I tend to do these sessions in the garden of my home studio. There are some interesting backgrounds and it enables us to be relaxed, have a few clothes changes if you wish, and be able to see the portraits straight away after on the computer. Once I’ve uploaded them, we look through them together, decide on your favourites and I edit them in front of you.

Investment

The session lasts approx. 2 hours and costs £150. This includes 3 digital files ready for you to use on their portfolio, for spotlight, for printing etc.

Additional individual files can be purchased for £35 each. Or you can choose a package of 7 extra for £150. This is the most popular choice and is really useful if you are looking for 10 files to have a wider selection to show agents/casting directors. You can decide on the day.

Child actor headshots Surrey – Perfect for Agents and Spotlight

Be reassured your session is designed with industry standards in mind. Images are clean, natural and focused on showcasing your child’s talents.

If you are looking for child actor headshots Surrey, I would love to help your child shine. For further information see my HEADSHOT PAGE or CONTACT ME.

What to Wear for Headshots & Personal Branding Photos

May 20, 2025

Don’t panic – I’ve got you!

One of the most common questions I get before a session is: “What should I wear?” And it’s a great question—because what you wear plays a big role in how confident you feel and how aligned your images are with your brand.

Here are my top tips for choosing outfits that work beautifully on camera:

1. Stick to your brand colours (or complement them)

Your clothing should reflect your brand’s personality. Choose colours that either match or complement your brand palette. Avoid anything that clashes. If your brand is calm and neutral, a bright neon top might feel out of place in your photos.

2. Keep it simple and avoid distracting patterns

Solid colours tend to photograph better than busy prints. If you love patterns, keep them subtle. Avoid logos (unless it’s your own) and anything with text, which can pull focus away from your face.

3. Think layers and texture

Blazers, cardigans, scarves, or jewellery can add visual interest without overpowering your image. Textures like linen, denim, or soft knits can bring a warm, relatable feel to your shots.

4. Dress for your audience

Are you targeting corporate clients? A suit or smart blazer might suit. Are you a wellness coach or creative? A more relaxed outfit can feel authentic and approachable. Aim for clothes that are “you on your best day.”

5. Comfort = confidence

Choose clothes that you feel great in. If you’re fidgeting with a neckline or worrying about how something fits, it will show in your expressions. Bring plenty of options if you’re unsure. I’ll help you choose on the day.

6. Finishing touches

Make sure your hair is washed, you are hydrated, your skin is moisturised and your nails are tidy. Avoid overly shiny makeup or heavy powder unless that’s your style.

If you would like to consider a professional hair stylist or make up artist, let me know. I can arrange that.

Trust the process. We’ll make sure your images reflect the real you

Ready to book?

I’ll always help you plan your wardrobe before our session, but these tips should give you a great start. I want you to feel confident, comfortable and completely you in your next headshot or branding session.

GET IN TOUCH and let’s plan something that reflects your story, your style and your brand.

Surrey Brand Photography

Why Surrey brand photography is more than just a headshot

When you think of headshot photography, what comes to mind? A crisp headshot in front of a white wall? A formal pose in a blazer? While those images have their place, brand photography—especially at your place of work — can be so much more.

I’m Nicola, a brand photographer based in Surrey, and I’ve been helping businesses tell their stories through relaxed, personality-filled imagery for over a decade. I believe your brand images should feel as authentic as your business values. That means moving beyond stiff poses and generic locations.

A Brand Shoot with Purpose: Lindi Reynolds, Architect

One recent shoot that really captures what I love about brand photography was with Lindi Reynolds and her team. Lindi is a talented architect who wanted individual headshots and team shots that reflected her creative vision and the sophistication of her work. Lindi chose the stunning backdrop of her home office and Hampton Court Palace for her session. She was drawn to the elegance and historical charm of the buildings.

I really enjoyed reading Lindi’s 5 star review after her session “I commissioned Nicola to undertake a photoshoot for me and my team. We all loved working with her. Nicola has an extraordinarily good eye for detail, and worked efficiently and professionally to capture my wonderful team at ease. She took special care to understand the values that inspire our brand, and I feel that her images have managed to capture the essence of us. Thank you Nicola!” My pleasure Lindi!

Surrey Is Your Brand’s Backdrop

That’s the magic of shooting in Surrey, London or the surrounding counties. We’re surrounded by a mix of historic architecture, beautiful green spaces and stylish modern spots. Whether you’re an architect like Lindi, a coach, a wellness expert, or a creative entrepreneur, there’s a location that will naturally enhance your story.

It’s All About Storytelling – Surrey Brand Photography

Your brand is more than a logo or a colour palette—it’s you. It’s how you show up, how you work, your energy, your passion and what makes your clients say, “Yes, you get me.” That’s what I aim to capture in every brand session: real, engaging images that show the human side of your business.

Do you love meeting clients in cosy cafés? Let’s shoot there. Do you create handmade products at home? I’ll photograph you in your workspace. Need polished but friendly images for LinkedIn? We’ll choose a location that feels fresh but professional.

Let’s Bring Your Brand to Life

If you’re a small business owner in Surrey and you’re ready to step into your story with confidence, I’d love to chat. Whether you’re rebranding, launching something new, or just need a refresh, your brand deserves to be seen. You deserve to be seen as the brilliant, person behind it.

Drop me a message or head to my CONTACT ME to find out more about working together. Let’s create something that feels like you—just like we did for Lindi and her team.

Headshot Photographer Cobham

Cobham headshot session

It was great to be chosen as the headshot photographer Cobham. For this lovely lady who wanted some updated headshots for work purposes.

Updating your headshots regularly ensures your photos reflect your current appearance, keeping your brand authentic and professional. Fresh images build trust, make a great first impression, and help you stay relevant in your industry. Outdated photos can mislead clients, so update them every 1-2 years for consistency and impact.

As with all clients we had a chat about what to wear before she came in for her headshot session. As you can see below it’s good to have a variety of outfits so that the pictures are versatile and more interesting when you’re not just wearing the same outfit. Usually people might bring four or five tops and we can look through them to see which colours are working best with your hair and skin tones. You may wish to consider some more formal and casual outfits.

All these pictures were taken in the studio garden, there are lots of interesting backgrounds to choose from. By taking the pictures in the garden, this allows us to upload the pictures straight away so you can see them all in one session. I have some great software to allow you to see all the pictures, and choose your favourite three or more if you prefer. If you wish to have the pictures taken at a location of your choice, that is no problem. Some people prefer to have the pictures taken in their home or office space etc.

More information about headshot sessions

If you would like to read more about headshot sessions please SEE MY INFORMATION PAGE. There are also plenty of examples of sessions on my HEADSHOT BLOG section. OR CONTACT ME TO CHAT FURTHER. I look forward to hearing from you.

Why Dating Pictures Are So Important | Online Dating Photographer Surrey

In the world of online dating, first impressions matter more than ever. With potential matches scrolling through profiles in seconds, your photos can make or break your chances of finding a meaningful connection. As an online dating photographer in Surrey, I understand the importance of high-quality, authentic images that truly represent you.

Your Profile Photo is Your First Impression

Studies show that dating profiles with professional, engaging photos receive significantly more matches and messages. A well-lit, natural-looking headshot instantly creates a sense of trust and approachability. Blurry, outdated, or poorly composed images, on the other hand, can turn people away before they even read your bio!

Confidence and Authenticity Attract the Right Matches

Your dating pictures should showcase your personality and lifestyle in an honest way. Whether it’s a relaxed outdoor shot, a casual coffee shop setting, or a polished portrait, professional dating photography ensures you look your best while staying true to yourself. Investing in high-quality images increases your confidence and helps attract people who are genuinely interested in you.

Stand Out from the Crowd

The online dating world is competitive, and standing out requires more than just a great smile. A professional dating photographer understands how to use natural light, flattering angles, and engaging settings to capture images that make an impact. As an online dating photographer in Surrey, I help clients create a variety of shots that highlight their best features while keeping their profile fresh and engaging.
