I was so pleased to be the Weybridge Surrey family photographer for this gorgeous family. The couple both work in the motor racing world so they chose the Brooklands race track for their shoot! I thought this was a great idea as it is a really special place for the family.

I was excited as I’d never been there so I had a bit of a history lesson too! Brooklands was a 2.75 mile motor racing circuit and aerodrome opened in 1907. It was the world’s first purpose-built motor racing circuit. In addition it was one of Britain’s first airfields. Sadly the circuit hosted its last race in 1939. But today part of it forms the Brooklands museum. You can clearly see the sweeping banks of the old race track in the pictures!

The kids were great, and we had a really fun time! I had a lovely email from Mum Hannah after:

I was so excited to be the Horsham family photographer for one of my favourite returning clients. I first photographed them about eight years ago and then about six years ago. So this session was much needed! Their gorgeous boys had grown so much.

The session took place at home in their beautiful garden. Of course it was the perfect place to capture their childhood memories. The boys showed me all their favourite places around the garden. The spring flowers looked stunning, and we managed to capture the end of the daffodils and full colour of the bluebells.

I love including pets big and small! I have photographed most animals that can be kept as pets (except a snake I think – please don’t ask unless I can stay at least a few metres away from it!). For this shoot it was their beloved dog Stanley who has been a welcome inclusion on all their shoots. In addition this time we got a few shots with their fancy chickens! I was rather taken by their feathery ‘shoes’! These were no ordinary chickens! I bet their eggs are delicious! It was great to have some pictures on their swing, it really adds a sense of fun, which is what this family is all about.

After their viewing the parents wrote: ‘You’re so clever, they’re all gorgeous, thank you so much. Thanks for everything and all your advice.’

My pleasure, it was a honour to capture your family for the third time. The frames you ordered are going to look amazing, I can’t wait to deliver them!

Horsham Family Photographer // Nicola Light Photography

Are you looking for family photography Epsom?

I was thrilled to be asked to be their family Photographer. This was for a large family gathering to celebrate a special birthday! The family are very close so it was easy to capture them at home, hanging out, having fun! We had originally scheduled the family photography Epsom shoot for earlier in the year. However we had an unexpected covering of snow so postponed it until April when the spring colours were fabulous. The dogs were great fun too. Although highly energetic so difficult to capture but I got there in the end!

As with all family photography sessions, we usually chat several times in the months and weeks leading up to your session. This is to ensure  it all runs smoothly on the day. It’s important for me to know who you would like to be there on the day and what combinations are important to you. Planning ahead of time ensures we have a relaxed time on the day! You will want to think about what to wear. This is all part of my pre session planning guide.

I loved being the Haslemere family photographer for this very special family. The shoot took place last Autumn at Painshill Park. This location was a special place for the family who have visited it often over the years.

The family bought the session as a Christmas voucher the previous year. As with all my voucher sessions, we start off discussing the month and location you prefer. I shoot all year round (if Covid’s not in the way!) but the majority of my clients prefer to shoot March to November. Each of these months offers advantages with different flowers, changing leaves and lighting. Often your choice of location dictates the timing. It might be that the location peaks in a particular month that you would like to choose.

I had such a fantastic time with this family of six. There is about an 8 year gap between the four children and they’re all very close. Ranging from school to postgraduate they are not often all in one place.

But luckily on this particular day it was bright, and everyone was on great form together. We took a walk around the grounds for a couple of hours stopping every now and again to take the pictures. It was fun letting the siblings lead us through all their favourite memories.

I was watching Bridgeton last month and spied a few scenes that were filmed here. Do you recognise the bridge? What a brilliant series. Looking forward to the next one.

Haslemere Surrey Family photography

Thanks for landing on this page, are you looking for Haslemere Surrey Family photography? I cover all the surrounding area in Surrey and beyond. This is a great example of an extended family photography shoot in the garden of the head of the family!

The session

The family had been bought as a Christmas voucher in December 2019. Obviously the following year of 2020 didn’t quite go the way we thought it would. But we kept shuffling dates about to apply with government rules of meeting. We managed to get the shoot in at the end of the summer. It was such a joy to get the whole family together. It was such fun seeing the six grandchildren playing together. The sisters are very close and the whole family get on very well. We chose different areas in the garden to take the pictures. It was a bright sunny day so we had to be careful to take the pictures with the sun on the back of their heads to avoid them squinting!

I am sure these pictures are now offering some comfort now we are all apart again.

With nearly 10 years experience I am well known as a Surrey children family photographer. I can’t believe it’s been that long! The years have flown by so quickly. In May this year I will enjoy celebrating this 10 year milestone. Hopefully by then we will have more freedom to meet and celebrate for so many different reasons!

I took this family photography session last summer. It was such a treat to capture this gorgeous family at Wisley Gardens.

It was a lovely summers day (remember those!). The family were relaxed and enjoying some time together. We wandered around the gardens enjoying the different areas that were still in full bloom in late summer.

The location for your shoot can be your choice or I can make some suggestions. You may wish to use your garden, or somewhere you enjoy going for walks as a family. If there is nowhere in particular I can make some suggestions. This often changes based on the time of year.

For example you might enjoy the daffodils or bluebells in spring. Of course there is a huge array of colour in the summer. The autumn colours are absolutely magical and places like Winkworth Arboretum are lit up with golden reds and yellows from mid October.

I tend to book in sessions about 2 to 3 months ahead, often further if it’s a key date that you’re looking for. So the more notice you have the better.

Are you looking for a family photographer Horsham Sussex? I travel all over Sussex and Surrey and beyond capturing families having fun together.

I had such a wonderful time with this family, who I have been lucky enough to capture 6 times! Their first session was during their pregnancy with their first child. I have then met them for further sessions to capture their daughter growing up and the arrival of their son. This is the first time we returned to a location, the other choices being chosen for the season and personal attachments.

As with all sessions, we took a variety of pictures to capture this stage in their lives. The siblings get on well together (well most of the time like siblings do!) so it was fun capturing them enjoying time together.

Are you looking for Farnham family photography?  This Farnham family were such great fun on their family photography shoot. I had first met them when they brought their daughter in for acting headshots. This session can be viewed here. She is a natural performer who I am sure will go far.

I took the pictures in their beautiful garden, taking turns to have pictures with each parent, some family shots, couple and individual portraits.

The family were also keen to have several outfit changes. So we did about 20 minutes in each set of outfits. The outcome is stunning, with such a varied selection of clothing colours. They had really thought through their different looks. Can you spot the different hair styles as the morning progressed? I loved it when they came out to me in the garden with a new set of outfits to admire!
