This wedding photography session was full of laughter, confetti and special family moments, followed by a relaxed celebration at the pub.

As a Surrey wedding photographer, I love photographing smaller weddings that are full of personality. They are more intimate than a traditional big wedding, with plenty of wonderful moments to capture.

This gorgeous couple celebrated their marriage surrounded by family and friends including the brides two teenage children. This made it a particularly special occasion for the whole family. It was lovely to capture them together as they celebrated this new chapter.

Confetti, group photos and garden portraits

After the ceremony, everyone gathered outside for the confetti celebrations. Confetti photographs are always a favourite of mine. They capture the excitement of the day and make wonderful photographs to look back on.

We also took plenty of group photographs, bringing everyone together for those important family memories. Although I love capturing natural, candid moments, I always make time for the photographs that couples want to have on display at home.

The garden provided a lovely setting for photographs of the newlyweds together. These relaxed portraits gave the couple some time to enjoy being together while I captured natural images of them as a couple.

Celebrating with family and friends at the pub

After the formal photographs, the celebrations continued at a local pub. This is one of my favourite parts of a wedding day to photograph. Everyone can relax, chat and enjoy themselves without the pressure of a busy schedule. There were lots more opportunities for photographs, from family and friends catching up to the little moments that make every wedding unique. Glamorous Vintage Couple Photography shoot Surrey

This couple photography shoot Surrey was all about elegance, personality and fun in a beautiful outdoor setting. The session featured a glamorous couple who wanted something truly unique with a vintage car as part of their story.

They arrived in stunning outfits that reflected their bold and stylish personalities. Every detail was carefully chosen to create a polished and fashionable look that suited the feel of the shoot.

Originally they had planned to hire a vintage car for the shoot. However the rental company let them down at the last moment! Rather than lose the opportunity we adapted quickly and used my dad’s MG instead. It turned out to be the perfect choice and added even more charm and authenticity to the images.

A relaxed and enjoyable photography experience

From the beginning the couple were completely at ease. That relaxed energy made the shoot feel natural and enjoyable throughout. We moved through different places on the driveway capturing a mix of posed and candid moments.

There was a lot of laughter and movement which always brings a session to life. This is what makes a couple photography shoot Surrey so special. It is not just about the final images but the experience of a fun session!

The choice of location and style of the shoot is totally up to you. This couple had a firm idea of what they wanted, so we just needed to plan how we would execute this. I have had the privilege of being the wedding photographer Godalming for lots of happy couples. I am asked to photograph lots of beautiful weddings in Godalming, Guildford, Woking and other towns around Surrey, and beyond.

What a beautiful day I had with this gorgeous couple. They were surrounded by their friends and family witnessing them committing their love for each other.

I took some pictures of the guests arriving, of the ceremony itself, and some group pictures afterwards. Their little girl was so cute!

They were going on to have lunch at a local hotel, but they didn’t want any further photographs. I tend to appeal to couples who are looking for a photographer for 2 to 4 hours only.

Each session is designed around your needs. So you can choose what’s important for me to capture.

Artington House in Guildford provides a picturesque backdrop for couples seeking a timeless and elegant setting for their civil wedding day. Nestled just outside Guildford in Surrey, this historic house offers a blend of charm and sophistication.

I have witnessed many memorable wedding there capturing the precious moments, emotions, and details through photography.

ln the summer I really enjoyed this session. I photographed the happy couple’s ceremony at Artington House and then afterwards we travelled to Barnett Hill Hotel to capture all their family and friends celebrating this perfect match.

The couple were very relaxed so it was very easy to photograph them! The Barnett Hill hotel in Wonersh has a beautiful garden, so it’s easy to find some gorgeous backdrops. We enjoyed a walk around the gardens, with a couple of glasses of champagne, of course!

Barnett Hill Hotel is a sought-after wedding venue, offering both indoor and outdoor spaces for ceremonies and receptions. The hotel’s beautiful gardens and terrace provide a stunning backdrop for wedding photographs, while the elegant function rooms can accommodate gatherings of various sizes.

This session of the fabulous Paul and Polly is a lovely example of a wedding I have photographed at Barnett Hill Hotel. They wanted some preparation pictures before the service at their home. It was so lovely being at their home where the excitement was mounting and the girls were getting ready. Then before we knew it, were were heading off to the hotel to meet the rest of the family. The service was so beautiful and intimate. All eyes were on the couple and there were lots of smiles and some tears too! After the service we took time to get some stunning pictures of the bride and groom and other combinations that were important to them. Then I left before their meal and other guests arrived. What a fabulous day!

Are you looking for an affordable wedding photographer Surrey? Wedding photography can get extremely expensive. Especially if you’re wanting a photographer for the whole day. I specialise in capturing smaller weddings. I mostly do weddings that are up to about 50 guests. My couples tend to want me for 2 to 4 hours. With session fees from £175 it’s a more affordable way to capture your special day.

This beautiful wedding had been postponed several times due to Covid! Thankfully we were full steam ahead on this day. Which was lucky as their baby was due a month later! Their wedding took place in Holy Trinity Church in the heart of historic Guilford. If you are ever shopping on the High Street, do pop in because it is absolutely beautiful! The team are so welcoming. I am sure you would enjoy a service or a look around.

During the ceremony I really enjoyed discreetly taking pictures. I popped up to the gallery to take a few too, it’s nice to use different angles. Afterwards we took some group shots in front of the church and in front of the iconic Guildhall clock. Didn’t the bride look absolutely stunning!

Are you looking for a Barnett Hill Hotel Wedding Photographer? I have been lucky enough to photograph quite a few weddings at Barnett Hill Hotel. This latest one, last the summer was a very special occasion. Two gorgeous families were being blended together, united by their parents love.

I started recording the day from the bride’s room which was filled with her immediate side of the family. Nerves and excitement were in full force!I then headed downstairs to the groom who was checking out the service preparations. I also started capturing the first few excited guests arriving.

The venue is stunning. A perfect location to celebrate a special day. With beautiful rooms inside and gorgeous gardens, it really does have everything.

The service was lovely, beautiful readings and tears all round! I then stayed on for an hour or so to capture their outdoor drinks reception. The canapés looked delicious, (I may have even sampled one at the end)!

The family wanted some more traditional shots of the bride and groom and also their new blended family. We took these in various different places around a beautiful gardens. But we took these relatively quickly so that the bride and groom could get back to their guests.

Small Wedding Photographer in Surrey

Small Wedding Photographer Surrey

I had a great time being the small wedding photographer Surrey for this gorgeous couple at the Four Seasons.

I originally met the family at a Christmas fair in December 2019 where they bought a voucher for 2020. This was taken up in July last year and then followed soon after by their wedding in September. They literally just managed to get the allowance for a larger group of 30 before restrictions were increased again!

The couple wanted pictures just during the ceremony, the drinks outside and finishing just after they sat down for the meal. I got there in plenty of time to look around and decide where best to stand to take the shots, including what was allowed under the covid restrictions. I had a lovely time capturing some informal shots, and also formal groups they had requested.

I had a lovely email from the couple following their big day. “Thank you for recording our special day in pictures. Myself and Karen can not wait to view the pictures. Thanks again it was an amazing day and weekend.”

Barnett Hill Wedding Photographer

It was such a treat to be the Barnett Hill Wedding Photographer for this fabulous couple from Surrey.

Having previously photographed a wedding at Barnett Hill, I knew the location well. It’s such a beautiful venue and I can see why it is so popular with couples. This particular couple, with their three gorgeous boys chose the hotel to prepare for their service and also for an intimate reception after.

They had asked for pictures before the ceremony which was being held at Guildford Registry Office. Then had requested me to photograph the service. This was particularly important because so many of their friends and family were unable to share the day with them due to Covid restrictions.

We had great fun with the boys exploring the gardens, which were looking spectacular in the autumnal colours. We certainly were spoilt for choice in places to take the pictures. This included inside the beautiful hotel. The architecture is sensational with so many stunning original features.

The bride was looking breathtaking in her beautiful white dress, so it was very easy to take pictures of the gorgeous couple.

It’s lovely to record the details too, such as capturing the bouquet, cake and car. It all adds up to memories of their special day.
