Surrey personal brand photographer: mental fitness coaching brand shoot with Warren
As a Surrey personal brand photographer, one of the most important parts of any branding session happens before I even pick up the camera. Careful planning helps ensure we create images that truly reflect the person behind the business.
That’s exactly what happened when I worked with Warren, a mental fitness coach. Before the session, we spent time discussing exactly what he wanted to achieve. As a result, we created a clear plan and made the most of our time together.
Surrey personal brand photographer planning a successful branding session
Every business is different. Therefore, every branding session should be tailored to the individual.
Warren wanted images that reflected the different ways he works with clients. For example, many of his coaching sessions take place online. Because of this, it was important to capture him working on his laptop in a natural and professional way.
At the same time, he also wanted to showcase face to face meetings. Therefore, we included photographs with people to represent the in-person coaching and support he provides. We also wanted to bring in how important physical fitness is to him, so he brought along his dog who is a very important part of his life, and also his running gear of course. I lay right down in the path to get that shot to look dynamic!
By planning these details in advance, we made sure every image had a purpose, and a story to tell. As a Surrey personal brand photographer, I always spend time understanding a client’s goals before the session begins.
Surrey personal branding photography across multiple locations
Some photographs were taken at Maddings Café at Whipley Manor Farm. This provided a relaxed yet professional setting. As a result, we created natural lifestyle images and informal meeting scenarios. We also photographed Warren in his home office. This allowed us to showcase the online side of his coaching business. In addition, we spent time in his garden, which added even more variety to the gallery. This mixture of locations gave Warren a strong bank of images for his website, social media and marketing materials. The variety means he can use the photographs across different platforms without everything looking the same.
Why Surrey personal branding photography helps tell your story
The best personal branding images do much more than show what someone looks like. Instead, they help tell the story behind the business.
After the shoot, Warren shared this lovely feedback:
“I come from the brand world, and in my first meeting with Nicola, she identified my own ‘brand blindspot’… the space between my business and my clients was actually me, the human behind my mental fitness coaching business.
Yes, Nicola is an incredible photographer, but more importantly, she’s a brilliant human and creative thinker who genuinely cares about telling your story through the power of her lens.
If you’re looking for someone who can capture not just your image, but the story behind your brand, I’d recommend Nicola in a heartbeat.”
Feedback like this means so much to me! After all, personal branding photography is about much more than creating attractive photographs. Ultimately, it’s about helping potential clients connect with the person behind the brand.
