It’s always a pleasure to photograph business people looking for a headshot photographer in Guildford or other towns in Surrey. Lots of different people have needs for headshots. This might range from business people to actors, authors or daters!
This man from Guildford in Surrey was looking for a headshot photographer to capture him for his acting portfolio. It was important to capture him with a range of expressions. We also included different outfits and some with glasses on and off to show his versatility.

My headshot sessions tend to take place in the garden of my home studio. But can take place at a location of your choosing. You’re welcome to have a change of clothes if you wish. The sessions will last approximately two hours. This includes shooting for about 30 minutes during which I show you the images in camera so that we work together to get the shots that you love. After we take the pictures, we upload them onto the computer and then I help you choose your favourites.
The session cost £150 and includes three high resolution digital files. If you wish to choose more, they are £35 each. I tend to do the headshot sessions during the week Monday to Friday and sometimes can accommodate last minute sessions. If you’re looking for headshots for your company for 3+ people I am happy to chat through a bespoke quote to best suit your needs.

Gorgeous Nikki, an author from Reigate was looking for a Surrey headshots photographer. These were to be used for a variety of shots to use across her publicity channels. Having not had photography headshots taken before, she was a little apprehensive But she soon relaxed and was having a great time! After her session Nikki said. ‘Wonderful lady – put me totally at ease, beautiful surrounds for beautiful photos.’ Thanks Nikki that’s very kind of you to say!
It’s very common for people to be nervous before having photos taken. We do all tend to be so self-conscious don’t we! But the overriding comments I have after sessions is that they enjoyed it so much more than they thought! So if you’re unsure about a session. Please don’t be worried, it’s very relaxed, and we have a great time!
As with Nikki, I encourage people to have a change of outfits if they wish. Subsequently it adds to the variety of headshots we get. I use different backgrounds and poses to mix it up too. I show you the shots on the back of the camera as we go through. Allowing us to make sure we are on the right track and reaching (exceeding!) your expectations.
I really enjoyed spending time with Nikki, who following the success of her first novel Whispered Memories , is now writing her much anticipated second novel. Best of luck Nikki and keep in touch!

Headshot Photographer in Guildford
This lovely man, Steve, was searching for a headshot photographer in Guildford Surrey last month. I am pleased to say he came across my website and got in touch to book in! He wanted the headshots for business and social media. I think you will agree these are some great stand out portraits! He wanted a change of clothes so I advised him on what to wear and the best angles to capture him. The price of a headshot session is £150. This includes 3 high resolution files ready for printing or online. Steve was so pleased with the portraits that he chose 4 additional pictures. That’s a great affermation that I did a good job!

What a pleasure it was to be the Guildford headshot photographer for Karine last week. Karine was looking for someone to capture her personality in a professional portrait. This would help her create a standout profile on social media and her business website. I am so pleased that she loved her headshots.
Three digital files are included in the session fee (£150) but she loved them so much, she chose two extras. I am not at all surprised as she looks totally fabulous. You can see why I love being a Guildford headshot photographer! Each session is bespoke so tailored around your needs. You just need to think about where they are going to used. What do you want to show? Just your headshot? Or you doing your job? Perhaps you make something so we could capture that? We can easily talk through options.
Like most people Karine handn’t had professional pictures taken before. Therefore she was understandably a little nervous. But I soon put her at ease and before we knew it she was relaxed and laughing. So capturing her true personality was easy! I took these pictures in the garden of my Guildford studio. But if you wish, I can travel to your home or workplace. I enjoy travelling all over Surrey, Sussex and Berkshire capturing professional, actors or people who just want a great looking profile picture on social media or dating websites!

This blog is a great example of why I love being a children’s headshot photographer in Surrey. I did this Surrey headshot photography session last month for gorgeous Emily from Surrey. Unfortunately it was raining on the morning of the shoot. So we had to have a discussion on whether to reschedule or alternatively shoot indoors. Emily’s Mum really wanted to go ahead for that day, so I reassured her that I had plenty of options in the studio and on the covered porch.
These headshots are going to be used by Emily to send off for an American summer acting school application. I am sure they will definitley impress the selectors! There’s a great selection of different looks, which is exactly what I try to achieve with all headshots. It’s important to show different sides to your personality through expression, clothing and lighting. I think my favourite headshot is top right. Which is yours? It has captured such an intriguing expression that would certainly catch my eye. Emily and her Mum were so pleased with the headshots that they chose three extra, all of which can be seen below. I love getting enquiries for headshot photography in Surrey. All sorts of people approach me for headshot photography. Some might be Surrey business people wanting a new profile for social media. Or new job opportunities or adult and child actors needing a standout headshot for spotlight. I also get quite a few men and women wanting beautiful headshots for dating websites! It’s all about understanding what you are looking for and how we can achieve that.
I was delighted to help Matt this morning. He was looking for headshot photography in Surrey so I was delighted to help him create some new profile portraits for LinkedIn etc.
How it works
My headshot photography sessions lasts about 1.5-2 hours, during which time you are welcome to have a clothes change if you wish. Matt took advantage of a couple of changes so his headshots are more versatile. I tend to do the headshot sessions in the studio garden (near Guildford, Surrey) which has some interesting backgrounds. Matt said ‘having my photos taken in the garden set me at ease as I was nervous about having my photo taken’. I think you’ll agree Matt looks confident and comfortable.
If you would prefer a location of your choice, that’s no problem too. My aim is for you to feel comfortable, relaxed and to enjoy yourself. This helps me bring out your true personality. Once we feel we’ve got the shots we need, we head to the studio to upload them to the computer. We then look through them together on a large screen, so you can decide on your favourites and I then edit them in front of you, so you have control over the level of retouching you may wish to have.

2017 Family and headshot photography session highlights
So it seems I have still not found the magical solution to stopping time, even after trying a wide array of wands on a brilliant day out at Harry Potter World earlier this month! So for the time being, we shall all have to be content enjoying every day we do have with our family and friends even if they whizz by so quickly!
The reason I take so many photos of my children (several thousand each year!) is that I like to record the moments I might forget in years to come. It’s the little details that I love, sometimes overlooked. But in years to come will bring me such happiness when they remind me what they were like at that stage of their lives. I love looking at a portrait that brings back not only a visual reference to that moment but brings back the sound of the laughter, the warmth of the sunshine or the smell of the flowers. I certainly felt that when I looked through all the headshot and family photography sessions I had in 2017. They all brought back such happy memories of the fun we had during these family photoshoots. That’s the important word, ‘fun’! That really is the essence of my photography sessions. We are having fun, it shines through the pictures, brings out your true personalities, whilst you are having a great time! I am so pleased when people feedback that they didn’t realise it was going to be so much fun! That’s my aim, for your children to enjoy what they like doing best. If they are happy, you are happy and we can relax and enjoy ourselves!
Thank you so much for your support in 2017, it really has meant so much to me! It was an amazing year and I feel very honoured to have captured such special moments for so many lovely families. I have lots of exciting plans for 2018, and look forward to sharing these with you soon!

Emily-Anna’s parents approached me to take some headshots for her acting agency (Guildford School of Acting – GSA). GSA at the University of Surrey is one of the most highly regarded theatre schools in the UK. We had great fun taking plenty of pictures to demonstrate a variety of different looks. I encouraged her to think about all sorts of things in order to get the different expressions. This included one of my favourites ‘think of a secret’, I wonder what she was thinking! After we took the pictures we narrowed down our favourites and then sent these in a gallery for her agent to choose. Below is the gallery she saw and the final three favourite edited portraits.
