What a wonderful time I had meeting Mel and her family who had been looking for a Woking headshot photographer. It was so lovely getting to know them. We chatted through the needs of them individually ensuring we got the portraits exactly right for each of them. We did the headshot sessions back to back so took all the pictures over about an hour. This allowed ourselves time for a change of clothes, hair and expressions! We then uploaded them to the big screen and narrowed down their favourites. Which I then edited and retouched in front of them.

Family Photographer Surrey //Woking Headshot Photographer
Are you looking for a headshot photographer Godalming? Hopefully this post will give you a better understanding of the headshot services that I offer in Godalming and other surrounding towns across Surrey.
Nick approached me last week about the possibility of having some headshots taken. Nick had been looking around and had narrowed it down to either me or a more local press photographer to take his headshots. I appreciated his honest approach. We had an open conversation about how best for him to choose the photographer who suited him most.
I advised him to firstly look at each of our websites. For instance which of the portfolios matched more closely with what he was looking to achieve in his session. Subsequently I advised him to look at how each session would run in terms of timings. To also consider the location and viewing of the images to see which suited him best. Then of course I acknowledged there may be a price difference. This could affect his choice of course. However to remember you generally get what you are paying for with photography. Just as you do when choosing where to shop for clothes, your restaurant choice or how you travel from A to B! I am pleased to say that having thought through his options, Nick called back to book his session!
We had a great morning together working out the best backgrounds to use for his headshots. Then advising on what to wear to ensure we had a set of portraits that could be used across a number of channels.

Headshot Photographer Godalming // Family Photographer Surrey
I was very pleased to be chosen as the Godalming headshot photographer for Katarina who was looking for a professional headshot for business purposes. The session usually runs in the garden of the home studio. It lasts for approximately 90 minutes and allows a clothes change if you wish. Subsequently we have a variery of different headshots that can be used across a number of mediums. It’s a very relaxed and enjoyable experience, enabling you to be photographed in a friendly environment.
Some people express anxiety about getting their picture taken. Most importantly, please don’t be worried! Many people are self conscious and a bit nervous. But after a few minutes, clients start to relax and enjoy themselves. Moreover often they want to keep on taking more after I think we have plenty! People get in to the swing of it. They are also so pleasantly surprised to see such gorgeous pictures of themselves. I hear clients so excited that they like their pictures for the first time!

Godalming Headshot Photographer // Family Photographer Surrey
What a pleasure it was to be the Surrey business headshot photographer for this fabulous business woman. I had photographed her once before with her family in the summer. I am chuffed to say she was so pleased with the results, that she booked me in to take some headshots. The head shots were for her profile picture at work and across social media. As with most head shot sessions, we took the pictures in the studio garden. This provides us with a variety of interesting and casual backdrops. Furthermore it also allowed my Client to have a clothes change into her work t-shirt! It is great to mix it up with clothing. You can create so many different looks during your headshot session.
At the start of every session I take time getting to know you, including your vision for the headshots and how you wish to use them. We then work together choosing the backdrops, getting the most flattering pose and perfect expression for the purpose. Once we’ve taken the pictures, we look through all of them together and I help you choose your favourites. Three digital files are included in the price (£150) but you are welcome to choose additional (as was the case in this session) for £35 each.

I really enjoyed meeting this interesting man who was looking for a headshot photographer. His wife who I had photographed for her headshots a couple of years ago, recommended me.
We took the pictures in the studio garden which allowed us to choose some interesting backgrounds. It also allowed for a change of clothes to create a different look. I was very pleased to see that within a few hours the pictures were already in use on his LinkedIn profile!

Cranleigh Business Headshot Photographer // Family Photographer Surrey
I was approached a few weeks ago by Olivia who was looking for a business headshot photographer Godalming. I was delighted to help her with some headshots. These were to be used for interviews and courses that were coming up for her. We took the headshots in the studio garden. This allowed us to take the pictures using a variety of backgrounds and have a couple of changes of clothes. In addition we can see the pictures straight after on the big screen in the viewing room. At this stage you get to see all the pictures we take and narrow it down to your favourite choice. The session includes three high resolution digital files. You are welcome to buy more (as did Olivia). But three are included in the package price of £150.
Olivia is a natural beauty as you can see. But quite often people ask if they can have an extra little retouch in photoshop. I am happy to do as much or as little as you like. However I generally advise people that a little is enough, the portraits should still look like you. Although ‘you’ on a good day (one where we have woken up after 12 hours sleep with clear skin!!). The before and after pictures below demonstrate where I have edited. For example I have reduced the under eye shadow, retouched the skin and lightened the eyes. Although the difference may not be visible if viewing on a mobile device!

Are you looking for a Spotlight headshot photographer Surrey? I photograph lots of adult and child actors who need profile pictures for spotlight. I first photographed these lovely siblings two years ago. So it was a real treat to take some new headshots for them as the children had grown up so much! It always amazes me how fast children grow. Blink and they have grown another inch or two it seems!
We had a great session and both the Mum and children were very pleased with their new headshots.
I tend to do the headshot sessions in the garden of my studio. Although I am happy to discuss a location of your choice. There are some interesting backgrounds and it enables us to be comfortable and relaxed. In addition it allows us to get to know each other which helps me bring out your true personality. I like to work with you to produce a stand out portrait that will get any Director’s attention!
The session lasts about two hours, during which time you are welcome to have a clothes change if you wish. When we feel like we’ve got the shots we need, we go into the studio to put them up on to the computer. We then look through them together on a large screen, so you can decide on your favourites. I then edit them in front of you so you have control over the level of editing/retouching you may wish to have.
You investment for the headshots
The session costs £150, which includes 3 digital files ready for you to use. For example for casting directors, agents, Spotlight, social media, websites or for printing etc. Additional files can be purchased for £35 each. Contact me for more information or see my headshot page.

Spotlight Headshot Photographer Surrey
Surrey based musician Tom, was looking for a Guildford business headshot photographer to capture him at work in his new studio. He has a relatively compact basement studio which he wanted to portray in the best light possible. So when I turned up, we experimented with different angles to be creative with the limited space he had! The only natural light was the very small window behind his desk so I had to make the most of the room lighting and window. We wanted to show Tom working and playing music to demonstrate his skills.
We also popped outside to take some headshots so people could put a face to the name. This is so important for all personal brands. I was very pleased to receive a 5* review on google following the session.”Very nice to work with. Nicola worked quickly and produced some very good quality images”
