I was approached a few weeks ago by Olivia who was looking for a business headshot photographer Godalming. I was delighted to help her with some headshots. These were to be used for interviews and courses that were coming up for her. We took the headshots in the studio garden. This allowed us to take the pictures using a variety of backgrounds and have a couple of changes of clothes. In addition we can see the pictures straight after on the big screen in the viewing room. At this stage you get to see all the pictures we take and narrow it down to your favourite choice. The session includes three high resolution digital files. You are welcome to buy more (as did Olivia). But three are included in the package price of £150.
Olivia is a natural beauty as you can see. But quite often people ask if they can have an extra little retouch in photoshop. I am happy to do as much or as little as you like. However I generally advise people that a little is enough, the portraits should still look like you. Although ‘you’ on a good day (one where we have woken up after 12 hours sleep with clear skin!!). The before and after pictures below demonstrate where I have edited. For example I have reduced the under eye shadow, retouched the skin and lightened the eyes. Although the difference may not be visible if viewing on a mobile device!

Are you looking for a Spotlight headshot photographer Surrey? I photograph lots of adult and child actors who need profile pictures for spotlight. I first photographed these lovely siblings two years ago. So it was a real treat to take some new headshots for them as the children had grown up so much! It always amazes me how fast children grow. Blink and they have grown another inch or two it seems!
We had a great session and both the Mum and children were very pleased with their new headshots.
I tend to do the headshot sessions in the garden of my studio. Although I am happy to discuss a location of your choice. There are some interesting backgrounds and it enables us to be comfortable and relaxed. In addition it allows us to get to know each other which helps me bring out your true personality. I like to work with you to produce a stand out portrait that will get any Director’s attention!
The session lasts about two hours, during which time you are welcome to have a clothes change if you wish. When we feel like we’ve got the shots we need, we go into the studio to put them up on to the computer. We then look through them together on a large screen, so you can decide on your favourites. I then edit them in front of you so you have control over the level of editing/retouching you may wish to have.
You investment for the headshots

Spotlight Headshot Photographer Surrey
Surrey based musician Tom, was looking for a Guildford business headshot photographer to capture him at work in his new studio. He has a relatively compact basement studio which he wanted to portray in the best light possible. So when I turned up, we experimented with different angles to be creative with the limited space he had! The only natural light was the very small window behind his desk so I had to make the most of the room lighting and window. We wanted to show Tom working and playing music to demonstrate his skills.
We also popped outside to take some headshots so people could put a face to the name. This is so important for all personal brands. I was very pleased to receive a 5* review on google following the session.”Very nice to work with. Nicola worked quickly and produced some very good quality images”

I really enjoyed being asked to be the Dorking headshot photographer. This was a shoot for this lovely lady who wanted to update her headshots for her website. She visited me one sunny morning. We discussed exactly what they’re going to be used for, so I knew exactly how to meet her brief. Some of the shots needed to be panoramic in orientation because they are going to stretch right across the top of her website. Therefore I had to shoot quite carefully with the sin mind. So we looked around for suitable backgrounds that would fit this purpose. I’m so thrilled that she loved her portraits as much as I do.
You will notice that she changed outfits several times. I usually encourage people to have a change of clothes. This is because this gives you a wider range of portraits to use across social media and your website. With the added bonus that they don’t look like they were all taken on the same day so adding value!

Farnham headshot photographer
I really enjoyed my time as a headshot photographer for Fotech, a Farnham based asset management solution company. Importantly my brief was to photograph various staff members in a way that was in keeping with their brand values. The headshots needed to be consistent and I was to provide a variety of portraits. Furthermore they were to be a mix of straight on, left facing and right facing. This meant that the portraits were versatile across their website and social media profiles.
I travelled to Farnham for the headshot photography sessions on two separate mornings. This is because it is rare for the whole team to be in the office at once. I had to be careful with being consistent with all the headshots. After that I am so happy that the company were so pleased with their portraits.
But if you are office based I can come to your business. However if you are an individual you can see below other examples of headshot photography in the studio garden. Similarly if it’s important to be photographed doing your job, like a craft or skill we can incorporate that too.

My headshot sessions tend to take place in the garden of my home studio. But can take place at a location of your choosing. You’re welcome to have a change of clothes if you wish. The sessions will last approximately two hours. This includes shooting for about 30 minutes during which I show you the images in camera so that we work together to get the shots that you love. After we take the pictures, we upload them onto the computer and then I help you choose your favourites.
The session cost £150 and includes three high resolution digital files. If you wish to choose more, they are £35 each. I tend to do the headshot sessions during the week Monday to Friday and sometimes can accommodate last minute sessions. If you’re looking for headshots for your company for 3+ people I am happy to chat through a bespoke quote to best suit your needs.

Gorgeous Nikki, an author from Reigate was looking for a Surrey headshots photographer. These were to be used for a variety of shots to use across her publicity channels. Having not had photography headshots taken before, she was a little apprehensive But she soon relaxed and was having a great time! It’s very common for people to be nervous before having photos taken. We do all tend to be so self-conscious don’t we! But the overriding comments I have after sessions is that they enjoyed it so much more than they thought! So if you’re unsure about a session. Please don’t be worried, it’s very relaxed, and we have a great time!
As with Nikki, I encourage people to have a change of outfits if they wish. Subsequently it adds to the variety of headshots we get. I use different backgrounds and poses to mix it up too. I show you the shots on the back of the camera as we go through. Allowing us to make sure we are on the right track and reaching (exceeding!) your expectations.
I really enjoyed spending time with Nikki, who following the success of her first novel Whispered Memories , is now writing her much anticipated second novel. Best of luck Nikki and keep in touch!

This lovely man, Steve, was searching for a headshot photographer in Guildford Surrey last month. I am pleased to say he came across my website and got in touch to book in!
