Teenage Headshots in Surrey
Do you have a teenager who is looking to get some headshots done? Maybe for acting, dance, social media or other job opportunities? Throughout the year I do lots of teenage headshots in Surrey most of which take place in the studio garden near Guildford in Surrey. Although I’m happy to look at other locations if you prefer.
A lot of the teenagers have quite a clear vision of what they’re looking for (although they don’t have to at all!) I work with them to get it just right for them both in the preplanning of the session and on the day. Depending on what they are going to use the headshots for, we discuss what they’re going to wear which often involves a couple of changes. This is great for mixing up their look from casual to smart. We also use a variety of different backgrounds to change the mood of the pictures.
Each session is different so I like to work with the teenager to make sure I can meet their needs, make it really fun and above all come away with some fantastic headshots.

Children’s acting headshots in Guildford, Surrey
I was excited to be approached by this delightful boy’s Lamda teacher who was looking for some children’s acting headshots Surrey. The headshots were going to be put forward to an agency that his teacher was hoping would accept him.
We worked together to get a variety of shots to show his versatility for castings. This of course included a clothes change because this can add so much to the atmosphere of a headshot. I think he looks quite different across the four shots which is just what we wanted.
Sometimes it’s quite hard to narrow it down to just a few pictures. However the benefit of doing the head shots in the studio garden means that we can upload them straight away. Consequently we view them on the big screen. We then use some really useful software to bring up several pictures at a time. This helps us narrow down the choice. This allows us to keep whittling it down to your favourites.
If you prefer I can do an online gallery of 10 head shots. This can help if you have an agent that needs to view them too.

Children’s Acting Headshots Surrey
Are you looking for some headshot photography Godalming or surrounding towns like Guildford or Woking? I cover all of Surrey and further afield.
I really enjoyed capturing this lovely lady who has recently trained as a therapist. She is currently designing her website to attract new clients. She understood the need to have some professional headshot photography to help create the right impression for those landing on her site for the first time.
We worked together to get a number of headshot portraits to use across not only her website, but also across her social media which includes LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. She had a couple of clothes changes to mix up her look. It’s always a good idea to bring a few outfits to create variety. In the same way are use different backgrounds because the light can change so much and create a different atmosphere or mood for your headshot photography.
Some of these portraits were taken inside, but the majority were taken outside in the studio garden. The shooting part of the session takes about 30 minutes. Then we load all of the images onto the computer to view them on the big screen. This allows us to select the very best portraits for you which I then edit in front of you, so that by the end of the session you have your digital files ready to use.

LinkedIn headshots Surrey
Are you looking to apply for new jobs? Or using LinkedIn to network? Having a really stand out headshot for your LinkedIn profile means that those viewing several profiles within a short space of time are more likely to remember yours. An eye-catching professional headshot gives that all important first impression.
When you first get in touch, I like to chat to you about exactly where you will be using the headshots. Each of the social media platforms requires a slightly different look. So we work together to create the perfect image for you.
The process
On the day you’re welcome to bring a change of clothes. This helps to create a different look for your shots and add some versatility. We work together on different expressions because you might find that you’re trying to create a variety of impressions. We take the pictures mostly in the garden of the studio as it has some interesting backgrounds and beautiful light. But we can do some more traditional plainer backgrounds if you prefer. The shooting element of the morning takes about 30 minutes, during which I’ll keep showing you pictures on the back of the camera so that you can make sure we’re on track with achieving your requirements. After the shoot we load all of the images up onto the big screen and go through them together to choose your final three digital files that I will edit in front of you.
The package costs £150. If you wish to buy additional files to the three that are included, they are £35 each.

LinkedIn Headshots Surrey
It was lovely to meet this lady who was looking for a headshot photographer Dorking to capture her for business purposes. Understandably most people aren’t quite sure what to expect if they have never had a professional photography session before. So I think it’s important to talk you through how it all works before you arrive so you can be best prepared. This includes clothing choices of course. This beautiful lady sought the assistance of a friend to narrow down her final outfit choices. You are welcome to have a change of clothing, it’s fun to mix it up a bit and add variety. I also like to look at different backdrops that will suit your clothing. It all adds up to creating a standout portrait especially for you.

Headshot Photographer Haslemere Surrey
Gosh aren’t the months flying by this year! Suddenly it’s July and the children are breaking up and we are busy planning what to do in the summer holidays. It will be a mixture of working and fun with the children. Which can seem rather chaotic at times, but now that the children are 10 and 8 it certainly gets easier!
Before we broke up I was delighted to be able to help this lovely lady who was looking for some updated headshots for business purposes. What a really delightful time we had together. After chatting about her needs, we talked about her line of business. Then we talked about how best to express her personality through the headshots.
It took around two hours in all to take the pictures, view them to narrow down to her favourites, then edit them in front of her.

Like most people who approach me for headshots, there was a certain amount of nervous anticipation. However I always try to put you at your ease by talking you through the process on the phone. This helps to answer any questions you might have. For example this might include what to wear, what to bring and how long the session will take. You are so welcome to ask as many questions as you like. Above all we want to be prepared and relaxed on the day of your headshot session.

It was great to help out this lovely business woman. She was looking for a Cobham headshot photographer. This was to help her create some standout headshots that would be useful for her website.
During the session we made sure that the pictures we were taking fitted the design for her website. There were some very specific needs in terms of orientation. These included some portrait, some landscape and some very panoramic options. You will see below the final results. These were then tested, after editing, to make sure they fitted the purpose exactly.

Business Photographer Surrey
I was so pleased to received a phone call from Phonic Books who were looking for a Surrey business photographer. They wanted to capture a group of school children reading their wonderful range of reading books.
Phonic Books Ltd is a small company specialising in publishing decodable books for beginner and catch-up readers. Founded by three special needs teachers passionate about teaching all children to read. They set about developing phonic reading books for young children and older, struggling readers. Following demand from customers, the range has extended to over 298 today and is continuing to grow. The range of books caters for pupils in Nursery and Foundation Stage to Age 14+ reluctant readers in secondary school. With a growing reputation for quality and effectiveness, their books are now widely used. For example by schools, tutors and parents in the UK and 40 countries around the world.
We had a fabulous group of children all eager to be captured getting stuck in to these engaging books and games. It was very easy to photograph them as they were genuinely enjoying the stories. The only problem was interrupting their reading to ask them if we could photograph them in a different location around the school. They couldn’t wait to get back to the books! The children were such a credit to the school. Furthermore they were impeccably behaved, very smiley and happy to be at school for an extra 2 hours!
Thoughts after their session
I had a very kind review after the session ‘We recently worked with Nicola on a campaign to introduce an element of photography into our website. Our remit was to capture some images of children engaged in reading our books. Nicola’s work was outstanding.
