I took these pictures over the summer with such a gorgeous family from Guildford in Surrey. It makes me smile to think of the fun morning we had together. It was a joy to capture them! The family were so relaxed together. The children got on so well. It really was very easy to capture them! I always enjoy the teen sessions, especially when they like to steer the direction of the shoot!

It was such a pleasure to be chosen as the Horsley family photographer for this fabulous multi generational family photography session which took place in August on Pitch Hill in Surrey. The hill is special to the family as the grandparents live nearby and enjoy walking there. As you will see the views from the top are spectacular. It’s a beautiful area and a great choice for a Surrey family photo shoot.
We really enjoyed our time together, walking up the hill taking photos in some fun places as we went. The grandparents thoroughly enjoyed spending family time with two of their children, their partners and grandchildren. It was particularly special as one side of the family now live in Canada. I’m sure they will enjoy looking back at these treasured pictures when they are missing each other.
Afterwards the parents commented “The canvases of Mum and Dad and the cousins will remind us all of the lovely summer we have had. Thank you too for the brilliant photos-they really are fantastic!”

Hello!
If you’ve not been on to my site before, welcome! Let me introduce myself. I am a professional Cranleigh photographer covering all of Surrey and surrounding counties. I specialise in bumps, babies, families and headshot photography.
When I first get an enquiry I like to chat to you about exactly what you are looking for. For instance how best can I meet your needs. This family session is a great example of a family enjoying spending time together. Furthermore it’s a place that is special to them. In this instance Pitch Hill which you may know is just above Cranleigh. I was so pleased they picked this spot as I love going there with my family too.
On the day
We met up in the car park. After that we started to climb and enjoyed getting to know each other. Meanwhile the children showed me their favourite places to play. With a family session I tend to take a variety of pictures that represent your family at this stage in your children’s lives. There are plenty of opportunities for family photos. Plus hildren’s portraits by themselves and together and of course lots with mummy and daddy.
Each session is very fluid, I know what combinations I want to get. But it’s always fun to see how the pictures develop throughout the session! I really enjoyed having their much loved dog along too! One of my favourite pictures is the one of the dog running towards me with the family in the background. So cute! The family are so lovely and it was clear to see how well the siblings get on together. There is a close bond between them all. It was so sweet. I think we walked for well over two hours because we were so busy chatting and enjoying our time together!

I absolutely loved this Guildford baby photo shoot. I undertook the session a couple of weeks ago at some beautiful local gardens. We met early on a warm sunday morning. It was just outside Guildford in Surrey for the baby photo shoot. After meeting, we enjoyed spending time getting to know each other and finding the best way of capturing their family enjoying time together. We had a great time exploring the gardens which were looking absolutely stunning. I wish my garden looked as good as this. I think I might have to have another read of my gardening book as I am not sure I naturally have such green fingers!
The babies were so alert taking in their new surroundings. They were very easy going and clearly happy enjoying time with doting mummy and daddy.
The gorgeous twins are only 11 months old. Can you believe that the little girl has just started walking! I am sure her brother will not be far behind once he sees the fun she is having getting to whatever she wants so quickly! I could not believe it, I don’t think I have ever seen a baby walk that early. My daughter was only on the verge of crawling at this stage!
Planning
A few days before the session we scheduled a FaceTime call to help the family make some decisions on what to wear. They talked me through some options and we played about with some colours and different combinations. When they turned up I was pleased that my advice had helped. I am thrilled that the family loved their pictures so much. They found it too hard to narrow down their choice to just their favourites so they chose to take all the pictures, and what a wonderful record it will be in years to come!

Are you looking for a family photographer Cobham? Do call, I would love to be able to help. I photograph families all over Surrey and beyond. Obviously I was delighted to be able to help this fun family to capture them enjoying family time. After initial discussions on locations the family chose Wisley Gardens in Surrey. It is stunning all year round there. The gardening team did an amazing job. Membership is incredibly good value. My children also adore it. Family Photographer Surrey // Family Photographer Cobham
It was a real treat to be the family photographer Haslemere for this gorgeous family. We had an initial discussion as to where the photography shoot would take place. I’m so pleased the family chose this gorgeous local garden which has so many places for beautiful pictures. We really enjoyed our morning together playing, running, jumping and laughing. We also took time to admire the gardens which were looking outstanding. The size of the dahlias were seriously impressive!

It was clear to see how well the sisters get on with each other and their parents so it was a very easy morning. I was so excited for this Woking family photo shoot. On the morning I just knew it was going to be great fun. It certainly did not disappoint! I really enjoyed spending time with the family who clearly are very close. It was so sweet to see the way that mummy and daddy interacted with their boys. They were so smiley and happy that it did make my job very easy!
I had a lovely email from the family after. “We are absolutely delighted with the images you have captured. I can’t stop looking at them. Beautiful! We are very happy with what you have sent through to us. Thank you so much for your patience. It was a wonderful experience and we will cherish the photos and memories we have from that day.”

I can’t believe we are almost at the end of the long school summer holidays. If you’re a parent with school aged children. I do hope you have enjoyed spending time with your children as much as I have. It’s always a bit of a juggle trying to fit in fun days out with my children. Whilst also fulfilling my commitments as a family photographer but somehow with early starts and late nights I can make it work. It’s always worth it when I see my own children’s faces. When we are enjoying time when we go on bike rides, trips to the beach and country walks.
We didn’t go abroad this summer deciding instead to have various short holidays within the UK. We were so lucky that of all the years to do this, it was one that was filled with almost wall-to-wall sunshine which did make a massive difference! If you’re looking for a great family holiday in the UK, I can really recommend the Isle of Wight, and the Peak District.

Family Photographer Surrey // Woking Family Photo Shoot
I loved being asked back as the Worplesdon family photographer for one of my most fun families. Always a treat! I have had the pleasure to photograph this gorgeous family on three separate occasions. Which included a Christmas card session for them. It was great fun, getting out the tinsel and Christmas lights! I always know I am going to laugh ALOT when I see them!
When their daughter was 5, the family started the tradition of having a family portrait lying on the ground every five years. The first time I met them was in 2013, when their daughter was 15. So you can see the difference over the last five years now she is 20! (compare the top two photos!) Their gorgeous daughter has matured from a beautiful girl to a stunning and delightful young lady. She is ready for University in September! I can’t quite believe where those 5 years have gone.
Spending time with these guys made me think about my children. They seem to be growing up far too fast, on the brink of 8 and 10!
