It’s great fun being a Surrey pet photographer. Sometimes I am commissioned to take pictures of a pet as a standalone session. And sometimes it’s part of a wider family shoot.
On this occasion it was part of a family shoot at Newlands Corner near Guildford in Surrey. The family had bought the voucher at Christmas last year. After some discussion on location they chose Newlands Corner because they enjoy spending time there as a family .
I met them one week day morning with their two gorgeous dogs. We enjoyed walking around the area stopping every now and again to take pictures. As you can see this was very relaxed. It’s important to me that family sessions are not posed or formal. My style is more relaxed capturing your personalities.
This is particularly important for teenage photography sessions. I like teenagers to be part of the direction of the shoot. It’s more fun when they are in control.
After the shoot, the family visited the studio a week later. At this point I showed lots of examples of what they could do with their beautiful portraits. I have a wide range of frames, canvases, and portrait books. So there is something to suit everyone’s taste. This could be from displaying portraits on your wall, or desk tops to one of the stunning coffee table books.
There is no pet too small or too big for me to capture! I’ve taken pictures of all sorts of animals from rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, tortoises, horses and pigs!!! I’ve also been on farms capturing cows and sheep! No two shoots of the same, which brings all the more fun.
