Talented artist Kasia Clarke was looking for a Dorking brand photographer to take some personal branding shots for her website and social media. I went to her studio in Dorking Surrey to capture her at work.
Before we met, we spent time considering the direction of the shoot. All the planning that took place before the day was so important because on the day we could then get the most out of our time together.
Kasia moved from outfit to outfit using a mix of locations. I am happy to discuss ideas on clothing before your shoot. It’s really important to give it some thought before the day. You’ll be far more relaxed that way.
The light in the studio was fantastic, so naturally bright. Artists usually have great specs for me to shoot! We wanted to show different activities like selecting paints, painting at different stages and choosing materials. Kasia had a good tidy up before I arrived so it was looking great when I arrived.
Kasia had a strong vision for the shoot, which is great. I requested that she send me ideas of styles that she liked, and especially didn’t like too! I loved her idea of wearing a ball dress. It looked so effective in the studio. I also really liked incorporating the chair and stepladders to add some height. I used them to take some aerial shots too.
I really enjoyed Kasia’s review after “Nicola made me feel totally comfortable and we had such a fun morning getting some really creative shots! I’m so looking forward to using my branding photos in my business.”
