Below are some of the most common questions I am asked. Feel free to CONTACT ME if you are still looking for answers!
What areas do you cover?
I cover all of Surrey and surrounding counties, including London.
What’s the best time of year to shoot?
I shoot all year round, although families tend to prefer outdoor sessions from March to November due to the warmer temperatures and more colourful countryside.
Where will we shoot?
The choice is yours. For families – perhaps your garden, a local park or somewhere you enjoy spending time. If there is nowhere in particular, I can make some suggestions. For headshots and brand sessions this can be in your place of work or my studio.
How long does the shoot take?
Around 2 hours depending on your needs. Every session is bespoke.
What if it’s raining?
The occasional shower is ok, but if we expect anything more substantial we usually talk about postponing the shoot to later in the day or the nearest available date.
What if my children are shy or won’t behave?!
Please don’t worry, it’s very usual to have this concern! Be reassured I am a Mum too so I’ve seen it all before! I like being silly, playing games, getting children to relax, be comfortable in front of the camera and have fun. Rest assured I can handle most situations and have a good helping of patience! I am always happy to stop for snack breaks too, whatever we need to keep everyone happy!
What should I wear?
What you wear for your session is a really important part of the overall look and feel of your professional family portraits. I have a dedicated ‘WHAT TO WEAR‘ page to tell you about about clothing choices.
How much notice do you need?
Usually around 1- 2 months.
Have you got experience capturing children with special needs?
Yes, over the years I have photographed adults and children with different special needs. I am happy to chat through your particular needs.
Can our pets join in?
Absolutely! They are part of the family. I have included dogs, cats, ponies, guinea pigs, tortoises, chickens, pigs and snakes! (Less keen on the snakes if I’m honest!)
How many people can be on the shoot?
As many as you like! It’s wonderful to have siblings and grandparents along. There is an additional charge of £25 for extended family sessions.
What if someone is ill?
I want you feeling 100% for your shoot, so if you are unwell please give me as much notice as possible to reschedule.
Do you do mini sessions?
Yes I do shorter mid week sessions suitable for up to 4 people looking to choose a small selection of digital files. More on MINI SESSIONS CAN BE SEEN HERE.
How do I choose my pictures?
An online viewing gallery can make you feel a bit lost and overwhelmed. So I offer you a relaxed private viewing session and design service in my studio. I will be on hand (with plenty of biscuits!) to show you a slide show of your edited portraits, and be able to guide and advise you on the wide range of stunning bespoke frames that I can offer to fit your home and budget and show off your images to reflect your personality and style. The studio walls are filled with examples to give you some inspiration for your home.
For headshot and commercial sessions you are welcome into the studio to choose or from an online gallery.
How much does it cost?
Sessions fees start from £95.
