Most of my photography sessions are based around the Surrey area but I was pleased to head up for this London family photoshoot before Christmas last year. Christmas is one of my favourite times of year. I love the anticipation from mid November onwards. My children and now sadly none believers but we still go through all the rituals!
The family were looking for a beautiful picture of the four of them for their Christmas card. The family are American and having recently moved to the UK wanted to continue with their American tradition of sending a photo of themselves in their annual Christmas card. I headed up to Onslow Gardens for the photoshoot where I met the family in their flat before heading to the gardens that are only open to residents of the square. We had the gardens all to ourselves so plenty of room to run and play for the morning.
We took a combination of pictures, some of them all together some single portraits and some with each of the parents. Of course they loved swinging between their parents hands towards the end of the shoot. I remember when my children got too heavy to do this. It felt like the end of an era. They still try to do it now, but they don’t get off the ground!
After the shoot I headed further into town to check out The Christmas windows with my daughter. We particularly enjoyed the windows in Liberty. Selfridge’s food hall was buzzing with activity. We enjoyed indulging into huge cupcakes!
If you’re thinking about a London family photoshoot do you get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you.
