Claygate Family Photography – Relaxed, natural family photos you’ll treasure

Family photography sessions aren’t about perfect smiles or everyone looking at the camera at the same time. For me, Claygate family photography is about capturing real connection. It’s the laughs, the cuddles, the chaos and everything in between. It’s who YOU are. This session was great fun. It marked the combining of two families into one. Everyone gets on very well so it was super easy.

Where to shoot?

Claygate is a beautiful place for family photos, with its leafy streets, local parks and relaxed village feel. We can shoot in your garden or somewhere local or further beyond. Whether we’re photographing your family outdoors in natural light or in the comfort of your own home, my aim is always the same. I aim to create images that feel like YOU. No stiff posing, no pressure just time together and space to be yourselves.

During a family photography session, I’ll gently guide you while letting moments unfold naturally. Children of whatever age don’t need to “perform”. If they are young they can explore, play, cuddle up or simply be themselves hanging out with a pet or book. If they are older, then just hanging out and chatting is fine. Some of the most meaningful images happen in the in-between moments.
