Although I am best know for being a family photographer, I also love being a Surrey small wedding photographer. It was such a pleasure chatting to this gorgeous couple from Surrey when they approached me to take some family pictures and then capture their wedding shortly after! The ceremony at Barnett Hill Hotel was very intimate so everyone was relaxed. It felt so special to be part of their exciting day. I wish them every happiness in their future together!

Small Wedding Photographer Guildford Register Office

It was such a beautiful day for Martin and Michelle. They were celebrating their intimate wedding with close family and friends at Guildford Register Office. Michelle and I had worked together in the past. So she put her faith in me as her small wedding photographer to capture her special day!

Mostly I photograph families but I have done a few small weddings. This meets the needs of those couples who just want a photographer for a few hours rather than the expense of a whole day. As with all engaged couples, I like to chat through what their expectations are for the day. Do they want me to capture their morning getting ready? Perhaps small details like rings and the bouquet, the details of the dress? Some reportage shots of people arriving or at the reception? What timings would they like – just a couple of hours or more to include the service and reception?

Martin and Michelle’s brief was to photograph various more formal groups plus capture the ceremony as it unfolded. We took all of the group shots outside in the garden. This provided a beautiful backdrop for the happy couple. We were extremely lucky with the weather as it had rained all morning. We waited nervously until 2pm when we arrived and the rain dried up and the sun shone….phew!

Michelle and Martin were very relaxed. It was clear to see that they thoroughly enjoyed sharing their day with the children and other close family and friends. Michelle said after the day “It was such a wonderful day and you were brilliant with everyone.”
