It’s such an honour to be a baby photographer Guildford Surrey. I travel all over Surrey, Berkshire, Sussex and South London meeting families embarking on this exciting journey. I get to meet so many little bundles of joy, so precious and tiny, shiny and new! This includes one of Surrey’s latest additions …baby R from Godalming near Guildford. He was such a good baby and we are all thrilled with the results! It’s lovely to get some shots of your baby awake and asleep. Of your baby by themselves, with each of you. Of course family shots are a must too. Furthermore you may wish to bring a few sentimental items too like a teddy, blanket or booties knitted by Grandma!
Baby sessions can be either done at the studio or in the comfort of your own home. The choice is yours. Here is an example of a home session that will help you to consider your options. Sometimes people feel more relaxed when you are in their own home.
Don’t forget to plan ahead. My diary often gets booked up weeks ahead. Although I will try my best to fit in a last minute request too. Newborn sessions tend to be best in the first couple of weeks. It was such fun being the Godalming Surrey baby photographer for this session for one of my regular families. I have had the pleasure of photographing them five times now. I started documenting their journey when they were pregnant with her first daughter.
They undertook my baby photography program which involves three shoots in the first 18 months of your baby’s life. It can start with a newborn session or even a maternity session before your baby arrives. If you prefer of course you can book ad hoc photography sessions.
We undertook this baby and family session down by the river in Godalming not far from their home. It’s a quiet relaxed place with plenty of interesting places for pictures. The girls loved it.
For those of you who know your parks and gardens may recognise the fact that in the first block of pictures there are a few at Wisley Gardens! This is because on the day of the shoot the forecast was for showers.
Quite rightly the weather is a popular topic of conversation when clients are enquiring about a session with me. My thoughts are generally that if there might be the odd light shower we may go ahead. However anything that looks more persistent or heavy we tend to postpone. I usually ask you to make the final decision to make sure you are comfortable to carry on.
On this particular morning it looked like there would be considerable showers about. However the family said they would go to Wisley even if we didn’t do the shoot. So I thought I might as well join them and just see what we could get on the day! So we had lots of fun but only for about half an hour. Then everyone looked a bit wet so I left them to enjoy their morning together. We joined up again the following morning when thankfully the Sun was out and not a raindrop in sight!

I really loved being the Guildford Surrey baby photographer for this family a couple of weeks ago. The family are booked onto my baby package.
This means that they will have three shoots in the first 12 to 18 months of their child’s life. Their gorgeous little boy had grown so much since their newborn shoot which you can see here.
He is utterly delightful. So happy and content it was clear his glamorous Mummies are doing an amazing job! At just one, he was full of character. Even walking a few steps, although a little reticent to show me on the day! Isn’t that often the way! He was very talkative with his baby chat. We weren’t quite sure what he was saying but he definitely knew!
We had a lovely time walking around the gardens. They were looking magnificent with so many bright summer flowers. The parents had brought along some of the little boy’s toys. So it was delightful to see him playing with his favourite things. It’s so nice to capture him with his toys so that they can remember what he was into in years to come.
Perhaps you would like to bring toys or maybe a favourite book? It helps to relax the child and enjoy some natural family time.

It brings me such pleasure to share with you this baby photo shoot Guildford that I took last year. I’m using the time we have at home to catch up with blogs from some of last year’s sessions that I never had time to write. Quite often I’m so busy with shooting and editing, I don’t have time to share the beautiful pictures that I take.
I absolutely loved this session from last year that was with one of my favourite families who were celebrating the birth of their second daughter. As you can see she is an absolute peach! The whole family are delighted with the new addition.
We took the pictures in their own home so they were nice and relaxed with all their own things around them. With baby sessions you’re welcome to come to the studio or be at your own home. I tend to think being at your home is easier for you.
Looking for a baby shoot?
If you’re looking for baby photography at the moment, I recommend waiting until we have more freedom of movement. I think baby sessions might be tricky if I’ve got to stay more than 2 m away from you if outside and I couldn’t enter your home or you mine. So if you’ve got a newborn baby or a small baby get in touch now as we will look at dates from July onwards for your shoot. The weather will be warm I’m sure and we can do some beautiful pictures outside in a location of your choice.

Baby Photo Shoot Guildford // Baby Photographer Surrey
Baby Photography
This Woking baby photo shoot was so sweet and the little baby boy was such a delight. I visited the family at home in their spacious apartment near the town centre in Woking. The family were very relaxed and clearly taking to parenthood with ease, which is not always the case!
The first few weeks are often a very challenging time for new parents. It certainly was for us! No matter how many books I had read or NCT classes attended, nothing quite prepared us for being new parents! I can remember that daunting feeling returning home from hospital and thinking this little human being was all ours to take care of. I think my mum had to come over within a few hours to help us out!
What a lovely morning I had with these new parents. We enjoyed chatting and cuddling with their precious new baby. We took some pictures with both parents and some with each on their own. The mummy particularly wanted some beautiful pictures with the little blue cardigan that her mum had made. It’s always nice to have personal items like a special teddy or blanket or booties that a member of the family have given you. It makes it all the more personal to record and remember in years to come.

Family Photographer Woking // Woking Baby Photo Shoot
I love being a newborn baby photographer Guildford. It’s such an honour to capture a baby’s first few weeks in the world. They are so tiny and vulnerable, depending on you every minute of the day. It’s exhausting and overwhelming, but also one of the most precious and exciting times of your life.
I was thrilled to be asked as the newborn baby photographer for this beautiful new baby girl! I’d already photographed her elder sister’s journey from bump to one year. So it was exciting to see how she had grown in the last few years and also to meet the new arrival! The family are doing really well and I am sure they will treasure these memories for years to come.
You are welcome to have pictures in the studio or in your own home. You may feel more relaxed at home.

Baby photoshoot Guildford
What a fabulous morning I had for this baby photoshoot Guildford a few weeks ago. It was clear to see just how proud these parents were of their beautiful newborn baby boy. Justly so in my opinion! He was the most delightful baby! He was such a good boy, I don’t think I heard him cry once.
His parents were very relaxed and so sweet with him, which enabled us to have a really enjoyable and chilled out session. I can remember in one of my (many!) baby books there were different descriptions for what type of baby that you had. I was recounting the book and shared with the Mummies that they were very lucky to have an ‘angel’ baby! Basically a very easy baby that seems to be content, feeds well, sleeps well and doesn’t cry much!
It was so lovely doing the baby photoshoot at their family home in Guildford, Surrey. It makes it all the more special to have the memories in your own home. Of course it makes life much easier also to know that you’ve got all of your essentials like nappies easy to hand as well! It’s lovely to include sentimental items too. These might include a blanket that may have been knitted by a friend or family member, a teddy or perhaps a pair of booties.

Baby photography shoot Surrey
I was delighted to be asked to do a baby photography shoot for this family. I have captured many times over the last few years as their family grows. Their first shoot with me was a few years ago when the parents were expecting their first baby. Since then I’ve been delighted to capture them for their newborn baby photography shoot for their first daughter. Subsequently followed by a six month and one year shoot for her. Now it was a real treat to return to capture their second daughter, and equally beautiful new addition to their family.
I visited them in their home and was very impressed by the calm scene that greeted me. This isn’t always the case, especially with my own children in the early days when you even struggle to get out of your pyjamas! But these guys were doing very well!
It was great to see them all again. Certainly to see just how much their elder daughter had grown since I had last captured her. I enjoyed our morning together photographing them at home relaxing. Of course we had to get a picture with their much loved dogs. I always enjoy including our furry members of the family!
They are due for their next shoot in a few months time which will be an outdoor shoot. It will be lovely to catch up and see how they are all doing.

Family Photographer Surrey // Baby photography shoot Surrey
I really enjoyed this family photo shoot Guildford. It recorded the very special addition to the family of a gorgeous bouncing baby boy!
The family photo shoot took place in Clandon, close to Guildford. The family gave me a very warm welcome. It was so lovely to not only meet one set but two sets of grandparents! I always enjoy bringing together the different generations. It’s so special to record those early few months when the whole family is embracing the gorgeous new addition.
The little baby boy was so good, lots of lovely cuddles and smiles. We were lucky to get some sleepy shots too towards the end when he fancied a nap.
At your viewing session I am on hand to guide you through ideas on what to do with your portrait afterwards. Popular choices are single and multi image frames. I also love creating my special memory boxes which are perfect for baby sessions. You can have a baby picture on the top. In addition special wording around the outside of the lid such as baby’s weight, height, date of birth and perhaps a special message from you.
I had a lovely email from the family following the viewing session:
‘Thank you for spending so much time with us to make sure our pictures are exactly as we’d like them we cannot wait to see the final results!’
