This was my first three month baby photography session for 2016. And I couldn’t have been happier to be the baby photographer for these gorgeous twin boys from Godalming in Surrey! I know the family well having captured their beautiful older daughter three times. We started capturing her as a small baby. We continued for two years as part of my baby programme. I am so fond of them. So of course I couldn’t wait to meet the double dose of fun that now completes their family. The boys were so good throughout their session. I thoroughly enjoyed a cuddle too!
My baby photography sessions can take place in my studio or your home. You may be most comfortable in your own home. Please don’t worry about tidying up though! It will be the last thing on your mind after you have your baby. I just need your bed (plain duvet covers work well) and a sofa or chair. Bright natural window light is good too.
I will be catching up with them for their next session in October which will also include their daughter. So I am looking forward to that already!

What a lovely way to end the week by posting my favourite pictures from my last Surrey baby photography session in 2015. It was so lovely to catch up with this gorgeous family from Guildford in Surrey. This was shortly after the arrival of their second son for a baby photography shoot!
Mum, Clare said, ‘Having captured a beautiful bump and newborn shoot for us 2 1/2 years ago for our first born William. We asked Nicola to photograph George and our now complete little family. As always, we are absolutely thrilled with the images.’
Thank you Clare, it really was so great to see you again and see how much William has grown and be introduced to dear little George. It was a treat and an honour! Hope to see you again soon!
I adore baby photography. You may wish to start with a maternity shoot. Or a newborn or 3/6 month shoot. These all capture such a special time in the first year of your baby’s life. It will pass to quickly! Honestly you are walking out the maternity ward one day, and lighting the candles on their first birthday cake the next!

Happy New Year to everyone! I do hope that the festive season has provided you with plenty of fun and laughter with family and friends. We have certainly been enjoying the last few weeks! Now it is time to reflect on the year that seems to have yet again flown by in a flash and which on New Year’s Eve left me pining for a few more weeks as we rushed towards midnight! But as always, time ticks on and we find ourselves with 362 days left to make every day an exciting adventure as we journey through 2016.
Below are some of my personal favourites from sessions in 2015, it’s been a fabulous year which has seen me capturing more families than ever before. It’s such a pleasure to be a family photographer so I am truly grateful to Clients for choosing me to capture such precious family time. It remains an absolute joy so I cannot wait for my first shoot of 2016 next week – twin baby boys, bring it on!

I was very excited to meet up again to photograph 9 month old Stephanie and her parents from Guildford in Surrey. I first photographed the family a month before Staphanie’s arrival, then as a newborn, so it was very exciting to see how much she had grown – and what a cutie! Her Mum said “Its been wonderful to have Nicola capture our special moments with Stephanie, she’s captured Stephanie’s likeness so well! We’ll treasure these photos for years to come!”. It’s been my privilege guys and I have really enjoyed getting to know you! Hope to see you again soon. x

Those of you who are regulars on my blog, will probably know I tend to photograph families. For example from pregnancy to newborn, to children and parents of all ages. I tend to do just a few events each year as I get so booked up with families. But I was very excited to be the (Baptism) Christening photographer Surrey for little Sophia’s special day. Which took place one Sunday in July. I arrived early to check out the church, which was beautiful inside. I decided where best to take the pictures, which of course changes for each church.
Sophia was on great form with not even a tear when the water was washed over her head. The family were delightful. As were her fun big brothers who were very affectionate with her. So the afternoon flowed very easily from the very personal church service to a great party afterwards at the local golf club. Everyone was very well fed with such a scrumptious feast. Check out the beautiful christening cake. In addition the party was well entertained too. Particularly for children with a very talented professional face painter.

Looking for a Maternity Photographer Guildford Surrey?
I love being a maternity photographer Guildford Surrey. It’s always exciting meeting a new family ready for their maternity, baby or family photography shoot! I have Clients all over Surrey and the surrounding counties, with children of all ages. Some Clients like to book individual sessions, and some book onto my year long baby photography package. On this photography journey I record their experience through an important stage of their lives! As you can see, this is a very exciting time for Mum Liezel and family! This is the first of three shoots they will have over the next twelve to eighteen months. It was great fun getting to know the family and hearing about their plans for the arrival of their second child!

It’s such a great job being a baby children’s photographer Surrey. I get to meet families from all over Surrey and beyond.
I was really looking forward to photographing baby Alfie and family from Guildford in Surrey. You may recognise them as it’s their fourth shoot with me. Thankfully I am documenting their growing family through the different stages of childhood. I first met the family 2 years ago when their eldest Freddie was 6 months old. This seems like a lifetime ago now! I feel like I’ve really had a chance to get to know the family over that time which is lovely. In fact I’ve passed on some of my own children’s toys to the boys. One of the toys is our big frog sandpit which apparently was a big hit over the summer!
The family seem to be doing very well with their latest gorgeous addition. In fact despite the lack of sleep Mum Josie looked remarkably bright eyed. I must find out what her secret is!! Really can’t wait to see them next April for their next session when I suspect Alfie will be sitting up!

What a lovely time I had photographing baby Oliver and family from Surrey. Oliver loved playing with the autumn leaves in the woods so it was easy to capture him with plenty of smiles! I first captured Oliver when he was just 3 months old so it was fab to catch up and see how much he had grown! It was lovely that Daddy could join this session too. I captured plenty of beautiful moments of the family enjoying precious time together.

I love being a maternity photographer Surrey. It takes me all over my county and to Sussex, Berkshire and South London. Meeting parents-to-be who tend to be in varying levels of excitement and intrepidation! This maternity photographer session took place in Godalming Surrey on a beautiful autumnal day. We obviously took it very easy on our walk together, with plenty of rests and lovely chats. I always say to couples enjoy these last few weeks together. It’s such a special time getting the nursery ready, last minute shopping, packing your hospital bag. Likewise reading up about the birth and hopefully getting some rest too!
Couples are often naturally nervous about the actual birth. Importantly I always try to calm some of these worries and turn the apprehension into impending excitement on finally getting to meet their baby! I had a planned Caesarian with my first child as she was breech. So I did feel a bit cheated by not being able to have a natural birth. My friends were all quite surprised when I said I was elated to be given the chance to have a labour with our second child. It genuinely was one of the best days (ummm 40 hours!) of my life! Yes of course it’s painful. Above all though it really is so amazing to see what your body is capable of and the joy of seeing your baby at the end. The hard journey really does make the pain worth while! So I always like these sessions as I hope I leave my couples excited and ready to meet their baby. Looking forward to the next amazing chapter of their lives!

Clapham, London Baby & Family Photographer
Ooh what a treat to be asked to be the family photographer for not just one but twin baby girls from Clapham, South West London. I was very excited on the drive up, and was thrilled with the way the morning went. The family are gorgeous and so much fun and the girls were as good as gold. One of them even had a little snooze in Mummy’s arms during the morning. It was lovely to have Great Grandma there too, over for a visit from Trinidad. It’s always useful to have an extra pair of hands in the early days….well in fact generally!
