I really loved this bump photoshoot Guildford Surrey.
This gorgeous couple are booked onto my three session baby package, and started with a bump photoshoot Guildford Surrey. The sessions typically take place over a time period of 12 to 18 months. You can start with a maternity/bump session or a newborn or young baby session. You can then choose at what stages you would like the following two sessions.
This couple wanted to start with a bump photoshoot which also included their very cute two year old son. We had a really lovely time wandering around their local park. This is a special place for them because they go there almost daily to entertain their little boy. We took some natural pictures as we went around. It is always nice to have lots of different combinations to tell your story. Some of you all as a family, some of you with each of your child or children. I’m more than happy to include pets as well if you have a dog or cat or anything else!
A maternity photography session provides a lovely opportunity to celebrate the special journey of pregnancy. It captures the beauty and anticipation of this time in a woman’s life, preserving memories that will be treasured for years to come. These sessions also allow expectant parents to document the growth of their family, capturing the love and connection between partners as they prepare to welcome their new arrival. They also provide an opportunity for mothers-to-be to embrace their changing bodies with confidence and pride, empowering them to feel beautiful during this significant life stage.
Bump photography sessions create a lasting legacy of love as families eagerly await the arrival of their newest member.

Baby photographer in Cobham
I love being a Cobham baby photographer because I love babies! I don’t know if it is that heavenly new baby smell or seeing all their cute little tiny toes and fingers. But these little miracles always makes me broody! Being a newborn photographer I get to meet so many families and their gorgeous babies.
It was lovely capturing this family who had recently expanded to four! This sweet little boy was very proud to be a big brother to his new baby sister. The session took place in their home. It’s by far the best place for a baby session. It means you are relaxed being at home with everything you need to hand.
The sessions takes around two hours with plenty of time for feeding if need be. If you do have older siblings we can easily get some lovely pictures of them by themselves too. Of course, it’s lovely to get some sibling shots, some of you all together and each of you with the children.
It’s nice to include any important things like blankets or booties, especially if they have been knitted by someone special!
It is best to give me as much notice as possible when considering your session date. Although I will always try to squeeze in last minute requests! If you are pregnant and looking for a newborn session it is preferable to contact me when you are around 6 to 7 months pregnant. Maybe you would like a bump photography session too? You may consider a newborn session when your baby is under one month. Or prefer to go for a 1 to 6 month session when you are more in the rhythm of life with a new baby!

Surrey baby photography package
I would love to tell you more about my Surrey baby photography package. The three sessions take place over a period of about 18 months. You may wish to start with a maternity session, or perhaps a newborn. Then we may well capture your baby six, nine months, a year or around 18 months. Each of these are very special milestones to record.
I first met this lovely family when they had their newborn session. They had their second session when their little boy was about 6 months, and then this their final session, at around one year.
All their sessions took place in their home, garden or surrounding woodland. The bluebells looked particularly amazing. Being in your home, particularly for your newborn session, means that you are very relaxed with everything you need.
Before your session, I will send you a guide to preparing. This will include advice about what to wear and want to have close to hand. If we’re doing a baby session in your home it’s always a good idea to have the heating on high to make sure your baby is warm enough.
The baby package sessions are so special because you can document their first year of life when they change so quickly. Your baby will go from being a helpless newborn to smiling toddler before you know it!
It’s always a good idea to plan ahead for your baby sessions. I like to do the bump sessions at approximately seven months.

Baby photoshoot Guildford Surrey
This lovely new family were looking for a Baby photoshoot Guildford Surrey. The beautiful baby boy had arrived a couple of weeks earlier. So it was the perfect time to capture them as a family together. The shoot took place in their lovely home. I tend to do newborn sessions in your own home because then you are most comfortable with everything to hand.
Before your session, I’ll offer advice about what to wear and what to have to hand. I will also remind you to put the heating on quite high before I arrive, so the baby is nice and toasty (because they will have less clothes on!). It’s nice to include any special gifts you may have received from family and friends, such as teddies or booties and blankets.
The session tends to be around 2 to 3 hours. This mostly depends on feeding because your baby is the boss (!) and if they need feeding this might take quite a long time mid shoot! But we want your baby to be happy So no problem to take as many breaks as you like in order for everyone to be relaxed and enjoying time together.
I tend to take pictures of you all as a family and then each of the parents with the baby and on their own. If you have other children of course they are welcome to join in as well.
I love to get some detail shots as well. It’s lovely to record their little folds and creases, tiny hands and feet.

In the summer I was the Farnham baby photographer for this gorgeous family of three. I was lucky enough to have photographed them twice before as they are on my baby programme! This involves capturing families three times during the first 12-18 months of a baby’s life. You can also include a maternity session, if you wish.
This family had chosen a maternity session, a newborn session and then this 6 month session. Use the links to follow their journey.
It’s lovely getting to know a family at this special time. Families often then stay with me for years, especially if other children follow after. It’s a privilege to watch them thrive and grow.
This little chap was lucky to have his Grandmother along for the shoot too. It was very sweet to have a traditional Chinese hat and toys along too. You are welcome to bring along anything you would like to make it more personal to you. I usually recommend a favourite book, cuddly or other special toy.
This shoot was on a beautiful dry day. Please don’t be concerned that it will rain during your session. If it is forecast to rain we will keep a close eye on the weather right up until the time of the shoot. An occasion light shower is usually ok, but anything more substantial and we will postpone. Often this is on the same day, as I ask you to keep the rest of the day free in case we need to adjust the timings a little. Otherwise it will be on an alternative date. I know we think of England as being quite a wet country but only a handful of sessions every year have to be moved due to the weather.
Do get in touch to discuss a baby or family session.

Are you expecting a baby and looking for a Surrey bump baby photographer? I would love to help. This lovely couple wanted to capture those precious last weeks before welcoming their first baby.
We took the pictures in their garden so it was comfortable and relaxing for them. It is always special talking to a couple who are about to become a family. Their levels of excitement and nervousness are rising so I try to reassure that it will be a wonderful experience. No amount of reading books really prepares you for the actual day, but incredibly your body takes over and you just know instinctively what to do!
I tend to do the bump sessions at around 35 weeks. At this time you probably have a good sized bump, but without feeling overly uncomfortable as you reach the finishing line! The choice of location is yours. Perhaps you would like to be close to home. Or there might be somewhere local that is special to you as a couple. If there is nowhere in particular I am more than happy to suggest somewhere lovely.
The shoot takes about an hour or two, it depends where we are going and if it involves some walking. There is no rush at all. If you would like to have a change of clothes to mix it up a bit, you’re welcome.
There might be something special that you would like to bring along like a teddy or booties you have bought for the baby.
If you would like to see further examples of bump or baby photography check out this information page.
Otherwise feel free to contact me to chat through ideas for your session.
(My diary gets booked up ahead so do allow yourself plenty of time!)

I photograph babies all over Surrey so was delighted to be chosen as the Godalming baby photographer for this gorgeous family of three. They were settling in with their new addition so well.
It was lovely to catch up with the family following the safe arrival of gorgeous baby Alfie. The newborn session was in the same location as the maternity. However this time we took the pictures inside which was more comfortable for them all.
We took plenty of detail shots to remember how tiny Alfie was at this age. It is so easy to forget how small they once were.
I had a lovely email from the family after. “Nicola did a maternity and newborn photoshoot for us & our lovely little baby Alfie. Her knowledge and skill made for some incredible photos; even though being photographed doesn’t come naturally to us! All communication was efficient and everything was very organised, all with a friendly personal touch. Thank you Nicola”
My pleasure, thank you so much for choosing me!
There is no ‘best time’ to capture your baby. You may wish to go for newborn pictures at around 10-14 days. This is when baby is still very sleepy and curled up. But bear in mind you’ll probably be just getting to know your baby, finding your feet and will probably not have had much sleep! Other popular times are around 1-2 months when you’ve settled in to a routine a bit more and caught up on a bit more sleep. You might see a few smiles too!

I love being a Dorking Baby Photographer, I cover all of Surrey and beyond, capturing little bundles of joy! It never fails to amaze me just how perfect these humans are. All those folds and creases and little fingers and toes. Each one a little bouncy miracle.
Just like this dear little chap. He was bringing so much joy to his first time parents. Obviously there are tricky moments too, I remember them only too well, but for the few hours I was with the family, he was simply perfect!
I love capturing the detail of the hands and feet. Especially with the comparison of the parents hands. In years to come you will forget how tiny they were!
Baby sessions usually takes place in your home. This enables you to be relaxed with everything you need to hand. The session can take place any time from about 10 days onwards. Sometimes parents want to capture the first couple of weeks. Others prefer a bit of a breather and ask me to come in around a month. Of course smiles often start at around 6-7 weeks so this is also a beautiful milestone to capture.
You can either book sessions as stand alone or be part of my baby programme. This gives you an opportunity to be captured three times during the baby’s first 18 months. You can include a maternity session as one of these sessions too.
If you would like to see more examples of baby sessions check out my baby blog.
If you would like to chat further please do contact me. I am always happy to chat through ideas with you and answer any questions that you might have.
Don’t worry if you have just had your baby, sometimes I can do last minute week day baby sessions!

Hello, I am Nicola, a Surrey maternity photographer capturing gorgeous bumps all over Surrey and beyond. This beautiful Mum-to-be has booked on to my baby package programme. She can choose three different photography sessions (including maternity) to capture the first year of her baby’s life. You are also welcome to book individual sessions if you prefer.
I love being a Surrey maternity photographer, I travel all over the county and beyond. I get to meet lots of excited parents-to-be about to embark on the most exciting of adventures!
The location of the shoot is your choice. For this session the obvious choice was at home close to the Mums’s beautiful horses. We took a walk around the farm taking pictures as we walked. I loved the stacked wood as a backdrop so stopped a while there.
The horses were gorgeous and seemed to be quite inquisitive about the bump. Sadly their riding days were put on hold temporarily! It was lovely to include their dog too! I enjoy including pets. They are very much part of the family, so should be included, if you wish.
Maternity sessions can take place somewhere that is special to you. If there is nowhere in particular, I can make some suggestions. I usually do the sessions when you reach around 35 ish weeks. You have usually got a good bump and still feeling relatively comfortable. We take it very easy during the hour or two of shooting, so you can rest and take it easy at your own pace.
If you would like to chat more about maternity photography please do get in contact. If you would like to see more examples of maternity or baby sessions please see my blog.

Are you looking for a Surrey newborn baby photographer ? What a dreamy time I had meeting baby Rose this month. Her very proud (rightly so!) first time parents are doing an amazing job. They were so relaxed when I arrived with them. Baby Rose was so good throughout the two hour session. I don’t think I heard her cry once! I did mention that babies aren’t usually this good! Mine certainly had their fair share of crying!
If you are looking for a Surrey newborn baby photographer do check out my baby information page. Or look at my galleries or get in touch to chat it through. I always enjoy chatting about babies, any excuse!
The sessions usually take place in the comfort of your own home. In this way you are nice and relaxed and have everything you need around you.
Please don’t worry if the house is in chaos, it often is after you’ve had a baby! I tend to only need a sofa, a bed and a nursery if you have one. We can always move things about or tidy as we go! There is plenty of time to stop and feed your baby. Especially if it’s a newborn session when you’re unlikely to be in a routine. There is usually quite a lot of chatting time if your baby is a long feeder!
Before your session I’m happy to advise you on what to wear, what to expect and timings for your session. Popular times to photograph your baby are newborn (within the first two weeks) because you can share the beautiful pictures of your baby with all your friends. Alternatively you may wish to wait until the baby is a little bit older, and you’re in a bit more of a routine and had more sleep!
I look forward to answering any questions you may have.
