March is a lovely time of year – Spring arrives, our woolly jumpers are put away (hopefully!), the daffodils cheer us all up with a splash of colour and of course we have a chance to reflect on our own Mothers as we celebrate Mother’s Day on the 10th March. Having my own blog gives me a lovely opportunity to share my work, offer tips and give my followers a chance to get to know me a bit better. So I’d like to talk about my own dear Mum who simply is the best Mum in the world! I think once you are a parent yourself you appreciate more, what your own parents have done for you! Mum has certainly made plenty of sacrifices over the years to give my sister and I the best possible start in life. She was (and is still!) always there for us, offering great advice and words of wisdom – I am not sure how she always seems to be right (but at least I am able to admit she is!). Mum is so kind, thoughtful and generous with her time. She is such a help with my own children, who simply love spending time with her – their little faces light up when we arrive at Granny and Grandpa’s house! I feel incredibly lucky to get on so well with Mum – as a daughter but also as a friend. She is great company, so funny and interesting – it’s always a pleasure to be in her company. So I really do say a very big ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ to my Mum – I love you so much and appreciate all you do for us, thank you! xxx
