I really enjoy adult and children’s headshot sessions.  I always find them to be quite varied. They do much depend on what you are looking for. We usually start with chatting about what you’re going to use the pictures for. For example quite often for children the pictures are used for acting portfolios which was the case for this boy from Surrey.

We usually work through a range of expressions from a more serious, to thoughtful and more fun. It’s good to have a range of looks when you are putting together a portfolio so that you can show your versatility.  We usually have a change of clothes as well to mix it up. It’s amazing how different a child can look in a change of outfits.

I usually undertake the children’s headshots in the garden of a home studio, but I am open to suggestions if you would rather do the photoshoot elsewhere.
