children’s acting headshots woking

It was great to hear again from the Lamda teacher who approached me in early March for some children’s acting headshots Woking. This time rather than attending herself, she was sending me father and son to come in and get some acting headshots. Luckily just before we were locked down!

We started by breaking the ice with finding out more about each other which always helps us to relax. We then went through his clothes to make sure we had enough variety.

What you wear is really important so if you’re coming in for some headshots do take time to consider a variety of clothes that can give a different look to headshots. Plain clothes are best. It’s okay to have a bit of a pattern but anything too bold can overpower a portrait. Try to avoid large logos because the eye is drawn towards them rather than looking at your face. I’m always happy to do a FaceTime call prior to your shoot if you want to go through your wardrobe to make sure we’re on track for the day.

When we start to take the pictures we test out whether the pictures look better from the left or right or straight on. Sometimes people have a ‘good’ side!
