Cobham Family Photography Shoot in the Summer

What a wonderful time I have seeing this gorgeous family for the second time for a Cobham family photography shoot.

I had photographed some very special war momentos for the family last year. So it was a pleasure to be invited back to this time capture them with their son who has just left school. I had such a lovely time with them taking pictures in the garden and off course including their cat. The cat was rather reluctant so he we tempt him out with a lot of patience and some treats!

‘Our son recently had his eighteenth birthday, and is due to go off to university this year. It occurred to me that, whilst we have many professionally photographed baby and childhood pictures of him, we didn’t have any recent ones to mark this significant stage in his life. We also had no up-to-date professional pictures of us as a family.

So, I contacted Nicola, and asked her to take some photographs of us in our garden. The session turned out to be really enjoyable, even for an 18-year-old boy.  I think we all surprised ourselves by how relaxed we were in front of the camera. In fact, I think most of the time we actually forgot we were in front of the camera. This really shows in the images. Such natural smiles and expressions, relaxed poses, laughter, love and fun. Our cat even joined us for some of the shots.

When it came to choosing which images to get printed and framed, this process was made very easy by seeing them all in Nicola’s studio on a large screen. This enabled us to do things like compare several images side-by-side, and see them cropped to size, and turned into black and white, for instance. It also helped seeing all the framing styles and options. I could not be happier with the results. A big thank you to you, Nicola.’
