Personal Brand Photographer Guildford

What a fun time I had with Jimmy Smith from Wine with Jimmy who wanted to hire a personal brand photographer Guildford.

Jimmy Smith has educated over 6,000 students through the WSET Level 1, 2 and 3 Award in Wine certification programs. Additionally he is recognised as one of the leading educators in the United Kingdom of the Wine Scholar Guild programs. As you can tell from the shoot, he is a very fun character!

I joined him at work for a couple of hours to capture the man behind the brand. These images were going to be used for his website and social media. It is so important for your customers to get to know YOU!

We spoke before about preparing for the shoot. This involved where to shoot, what to wear, and props to have handy. We also discussed the staging of the shots. What were the stories that he wanted to tell? Obviously much of this was based about tasting wine. Which was interesting at 10am! But ever the professional, he didn’t seem to get carried away like I would have done!

One of his signature characteristics is an eclectic mix of colourful shirts and bow ties. So we tried to include plenty of changes of clothes.

After some shots inside, we took some outside next to his trusty steed ‘Jeff’, a 1971 VW Campervan that has accompanied him on many an adventure to spectacular vineyards!

Then you might notice the fabulous shot of us pouring wine over Jimmy’s head. It was his idea, I hasten to add! We practised first with a football and jug of water because I only had one take to nail it! Thankfully I had set the shot up perfectly so the result is so fun!
