I particularly love the jewellery candle. The fragrances are so gorgeous, and the pretty pots look fabulous as containers for all sorts of things after the candle has burnt. If that’s not enough, each of the jewellery candles has a surprise jewellery piece (carefully wrapped) in the wax, so as the candle burns your gift is revealed!
The candles are all hand-poured in her Surrey workshop using only natural ingredients. Anni wanted some commercial product photography to show her involved in the production of the candles. This ranged from pouring the wax, to labelling and packaging up the final product. She also wanted some professional headshots so we can put a face to the name. This is so important in allowing your customers to get to know you.
All the pictures you see below were taken on the same day. But I suggested to Anni to change her clothing a few times so the shots are more versatile and can suit different purposes. We took time to set up the lifestyle product shots. In addition we carefully demonstrated that each of the candles serves a second purpose once burnt. We also thought ahead and did some more festive product shots to use in the coming months. Anni now has a great bank of images for instagram, other social media and use on her website.
After we had taken the pictures I couldn’t resist starting my christmas shopping. As an organiser I like to get ahead. I know any one of my friends or family would be overjoyed to unwrap one of these on Christmas day! It’s so tempting to keep opening my present cupboard and inhaling the fragrances! I wonder how many I will gift to myself over the coming weeks as I am not sure I can resist them!

Anni kindly left me a 5* review on google after our session. “Nicola is a great photographer. I wanted a mixture of lifestyle product shots, headshots and action shots to help launch my candle business. Not the simplest of briefs! From the outset she helped steer the direction, offering suggestions, ideas and inspiration. She organised the shoot day so well that we managed to get through everything we needed to. Naturally the results are fab! At last I have professional images to help sell my candles. Thanks Nicola. Anni Edwards x”
What kind words, thank you so much, I really enjoyed our time together and I am a fan for life, what fabulous candles, you are very talented! I look forward to following your journey.
