Surrey Commercial Photographer

Hello!

I’m Nicola, a Surrey commercial photographer capturing small businesses around Surrey and beyond. For almost 10 years I have been providing affordable professional photography to local businesses. As a result I specialise in personal branding and product photography.

What an enjoyable morning I had with Ros from Surrey based Planet Pom Pom. Ros was looking for a Surrey commercial photographer to capture some shots for her instagram feed. In addition,  she wanted to be taught how to take better pictures of her products on her phone. This gives her a better chance to promote her new products as she introduces more lines to her ranges in the months to come. Before the session, we discussed what she was looking for and how she wanted to portray her brand.

These days people choose a brand because they are looking not just for a fabulous product but also some personality behind the brand.  We all want to see behind the scenes and ‘meet the maker’ particularly for independent brands. So you just can’t hide behind your logo these days!

As you can see from the pictures below we undertook to tell a story to Ros’s potential clients. It was important for Ros to portray the care and attention that goes into make every single bag, hat or piece of jewellery. We wanted to portray that Ros hand makes all her products from home.  It was important to take some shots of her actually creating the products. She takes such care with the attention to detail, which often a large manufacturing company just cannot do. So hopefully these pictures give a real insight into her brand. At the end of the session we took some headshots in the context of her working environment.

I think these will be really useful for her on social media and on her website.

I am absolutely blown away with the pictures you took and how I have learnt to take others on my phone in the future. She even showed me how to do a video of myself in insta stories which I was always afraid of!  I am, like most small independent businesses, very conscious of spending money on photography.  But it proved to be so reasonably priced and better still, I can now take more on my own! I can’t wait to start showing more of me and my bags and building a loyal following.”
