People want to know about your story, who are you, what you look like, can they relate to you? If you’ve never put a picture of yourself on your social media or website, you really need to think about that now! I know a lot of people might find this pretty daunting. Especially if you’ve never had professional pictures taken before. But believe me, you’ll not only really enjoy the session, but you’ll see the rewards often immediately!

First steps

When a small business initially approaches me, we take time to talk about exactly what your needs are. This might be as simple as just a few headshots to use on your website social media etc. Or we can do a session to include perhaps some lifestyle shots of your product or service. Or a range of shots including yourself and the story behind your brand.

This small business shoot for Kate Phipps Writes was such a treat. The sisters behind the brand wanted to show more of their personalities. They also want to show the process behind the different stages of their business. The emphasis wasn’t on product photography however we showed a few in situ towards the end of the shoot. I am a total super fan of their poetry cards, prints and posters. If like me, sometimes you struggle to find the right words, Kate will be sure to have the right card for you. She also offers beautiful bespoke private commissions.
