Last week I was approached by Simon who was looking for a product photographer Guildford Surrey to photograph his new sculpting venture.
I was very keen to help after talking the project through with him. It sounded like an amazing sculpture based on the Courchevel Valley in France. This is an area I know very well from many years skiing in the three valleys.
Our initial discussions were based around understanding the sculpture and how it needed to be photographed. Simon was looking for some pictures on a lightly patterned background, a few with a white background and some more lifestyle shots. The latter would give potential clients an opportunity to understand the scale of the sculpture.
Simon was local, so was able to drop the sculpture off on my doorstep. After that, I then spent time photographing it in the studio. It was fun picking out props to use. Simon had lent me the ski books which were perfect for adding to the story.
After the session Simon picked up the sculpture and was thrilled with the results.
