As a family portrait photographer I always seem to have my camera at hand, particularly when documenting my own children’s childhood! One of my favourite times of year is when the grass in the field opposite our house is cut and baled providing us with a natural playground to have fun! For the last 4 years I’ve taken photos at this time so I have a wonderful record of how they are changing, I can’t believe how quickly!
There was great excitement at home on Wednesday as we watched the blue tractor hard at work cutting the long grass, so I knew our chance to have a play and take some pictures was Thursday. I had my dear friend Joanna’s gorgeous children over for a play that morning so they came along too and we had so much fun doing running races, playing hide and seek and dancing to Taylor Swift (iTunes on my phone!) on top of the bales! We all needed a LOT of water after and collapsed in the paddling pool (me included!)
Happy days, thank you Mr Farmer (please don’t take those bales away just yet as we want to play again at the weekend!)
